    Coffee!!!

I only started drinking coffee less than two years ago, because DS was such a rotten sleeper for so long I needed something to help me function at work. Never thought I'd be a coffee drinker! But I was desperate.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant with my second now. In the first trimester I gave up coffee after it made me nauseous for two days straight when I must have had an overly strong brew. Early into the second trimester I started drinking half strength mochas again.

Now I've given it up again (it was a tough few days Sunday-Wednesday!) because I was so addicted I sought ways to get my daily coffee shop fix, not just on the three days I work. Plus, I don't like the idea that I might be slowly poisoning my fetus (thought the jury is out on that right?). But it's so hard! There's a coffee machine literally outside my office door at work. Apart from being noisy when it's being operated, and making the place smell annoying stuffy most of the time, when someone is making a coffee it smells sooo good! But the hardest time is walking from the car park to my office, the path takes me past one of my favourite coffee shops.

    Anyone else feeling the withdrawal?

I was next to the coffee machine at work too, and they were free. O had around 5 a day

I found it easier to still be in the ritual of going to the coffee corner with my co-workers, but I'd make a Milo or herbal tea instead. I still had one a day though.

Wow Lady Neon, 5 a day! I was cranky and fuzzy just cutting out my one half strength coffee, lol! I've started bringing milo to work actually, to have around coffee time. It does help.

I drank one coffee a day through both my pregnancies. I wouldn't have been able to function at work without it! I think everything in moderation. One half strength coffee a day is pretty minimal, I wouldn't stress about it. The stress from not having it is probably worse for the baby than just having one.

I have quarter strength coffees when out. We have a coffee pod machine at home. I'll either have decaf or add a lot of milk. I'm not giving it up, I just have it in moderation, but then I'm not a coffee addict either. Chocolate, on the other hand.....

I would have one most days but make sure that one was a decent one. I drank so much before our successful ivf cycle (5+ double shots daily) that I don't actually know how my body would've coped going cold turkey

I drank at least 1 coffee everyday pre pregnant. Then couldn't stand it til I was about 19 weeks. Since then I drink it now and then when we're out and I want it. Haven't really noticed withdrawals though I guess I was too caught up in ms haha I have no interest in instant coffee though only the real stuff now... possibly the worst kind haha

I still have at least 2 a day. I make it a good coffee, not gonna drink crappy coffee when I only get to have it a few times a day! I couldn't give up my coffee. I don't really like tea.
