    Gas Hot Water Heaters

Hi. We need to buy a new gas hot water heater. We currently have an old AquaMax and it is going out way too often (we have had it looked at multiple times, and the only thing that anyone can figure out is that our neighborhood has variable gas pressure (possibly due to the number of formerly single home blocks that now have 2 townhouses on them and the AquaMax that we have is too finicky as we have replaced every replaceable part as well as had a separate gas line run from our meter that is solely dedicated to our water heater - lots of $ and no fix - it's been frustrating). For obvious reasons, I am put off an AquaMax, but am not totally against it. A brand called Rheem was recommended but when I looked up the reviews I was a bit put off. Please tell me what make/model you have and if you love it/hate it/have ever had issues with it!

Is gas-boosted solar an option? Ours was quite cheap.

We've had a Rheem since our house was built in 2008 and never had an issue.

I have a Bosch. It was recommended to us by our plumber, it's been great.

Thanks for all the replies. My own research had narrowed it down to rheem, Bosch and a company called rinnai. Luna moth - We have to stick with just gas.
