    the return of the aunt

So after 17months the horrid aunt has returned. I cant really complain, afterall its been 17months free, and that's not including the 9months of pregnancy

But I don't remember it affecting me so much. Im so tired, I just want to sleep all day, Im just not myself. I actually feel like Im in the first trimester of my pregnancies, well except for the vomiting and the sensitivity to food and smells etc, and the sore boobs.

I suppose Im just whinging, but Im so so tired. I feel like I have nothing to give at the moment and if this is every month, Im not so sure Im going to cope. umph

Perhaps after this long the period has really lowered your iron levels? Maybe get some iron tablets to help?

Hope your energy comes back soon!

When mine came back after my third child it was horrible like you describe. So freaking tired and life still goes on regardless of if you feel like you are made of concrete or not.

It has gradually improved and I don't remember being particularly affected in the last few cycles (so must have lasted around 6-7 cycles). I hope it improves for you, it isn't a nice feeling. Aligatorsmum has a good point though - I was anaemic around that time but had iron shots to remedy it. Perhaps that is the difference between then and now - I hadn't really put the two things together.

I never noticed it being so awful after my first two either, but with DD2 it was pretty yuck for the first couple of cycles. Now I'm back to normal....just extra cranky

When I first started reading I thought oh no, you have a not so great mum and an aunt too.
After DD2 my first few cycles were horrible. I am actually dreaded it coming back and considering mine seems to come back around the 4-5month post partum mark it probably won't be to far off.

Oh dear, sorry all for the confusion Goes to show how tired I am, Im not thinking too clearly

Aligatorsmum, I think you have a point, Im thinking a good dose of iron is what I need! Ive never needed extra iron before so its kinda of taken me by surprise.

Art, phew, Im glad Im not alone in it being horrible. Gosh I hope it changes up in the next few cycles, and gets better.

Kim, yep extra cranky here too

Hey Kazzo, yep not so good mum, and guess what, I have two aunts, who are just like my mum.. so you weren't to far off hehehehe.
Oh no, hopefully third time lucky and you get longer than 4-5months, and its not so nasty this time round
