    Cool I need help brainstorming!

Ok, I wasn't going to start this but because Rowellen and Meow told me to, here it is. I'm a sucker for peer pressure.

Anyway - we had boy names, like 4 years ago. Then different boy names 3 years ago. Now those boys names don't feel right, I still like them, but none of them really feel like they belong in the family - ITMS?

So we need some help picking a name!

DH likes the idea of picking a name that means either:
    1) Something to do with the end of a cycle or a stage (because this is our VERY last child - for REAL)
    2) Something to do with the number 7. Except we won't name our child Seven. So something to reflect it but not be it.
    3) As above, but with the number 5 because its the 5th child.

The names we have at the moment are:
    1) Azarias Jonah - I've always loved this but DH doesn't. I liked it because it just came to me out of the blue after having DD1 - even before we planned a 3rd child - while watching Rove actually.
    2) Marcarian - DH likes this one because its a cluster of galaxies in the sign of Virgo. This baby's due date falls in Virgo. Plus its an unplanned pregnancy so like sent from the universe blah blah blah you get the point.....
    3) Cylan - I heard this on Pokemon and then realised that it was half the middle name of DH's dad, and half the middle name of DH. So it fits, but I'm not sure I like it more than the fact that its two names combined which is pretty cool.

So we like them - but not sure they are right.
    Help. Please.

Oooh fun! Will do some searching & get back to you

From your list I like them in this order:
Marcarian - Love the idea of the universe thing
Cylan - It looks interesting. I'm assuming the c is soft so pronounced like sigh-lann? If so, I like it.
Azarias Jonah - It does bring to mind Azaria Chamberlain so even though it sounds great, I would probably avoid it myself. Having said that, if that doesn't bother you, then it's great too.

I really like Marcarian! The way it looks and sounds as well as the meaning. Next I like Cylan, but I'm reading it Kye-lann. Azarias last for me, the Azaria Chamberlain connection makes it feel more feminine to me.

Some great names in here already!

From your list, I agree that Azarias reminds me of Azaria Chamberlain but that could be my age.

Marcarian sort of reminds me of Mehkelti so I think something a bit less similar would be better.

    Cylan is pretty cool.

Quentin is a favourite name of mine so I love that. Cinco is awesome. Love Zimri.

I'll throw in Zenith- I had it on our list and love it. You've reached the highest point aka the end?

Cylan kind of reminds me of Cylon - the robot creatures from Battlestar Galactica.

    Azarias is lovely

I saw a TV program in which someone was named Septimus and I thought it was very cool. Other great Latin names include Atticus or Terminus (meaning the end, boundary, limit). Osiris has a similar sound.

Ragnorak is the end of the world in Norse mythology.

    Asim meaning limitless in Sanskrit
Orion is another galaxy type name that means boundary, limit
Jupiter is the fifth and largest planet in the solar system. Greek name - Zeus
    Seong is Korean for completed

I'm old too - I think cos I've had it in my head for so long that it doesn't have the same connection any more for me.

Marcarian and Mehkelti do sound a bit similar I suppose, but no more than Kelti and Sahti I don't think? Mehkelti rarely gets called that anyway, she's just Kelti. Or Kelts.

L & B - we had to google Cylan because I thought it was from battlestar haha! We did toss up Jupiter too because of the fifth thing, but I think its more of a girly sounding name?

Rowellen - yours are.. um.. interesting... bahahahahaha!!!

ETA - oh and Zenith reminds me of Kenneth. Which I don't um, really like... LOL

There were some that weren't overly unique. They are probably not unique enough for you though lol I had Julian on my list - far too normal . I quite like Navin, Farlow & Pollard from my suggestions. Most of the rest are a bit out there for me.

Hey jonah is a pretty "normal" name...... I do like Patrick too, but Offspring ruined that for me.

I liked Keenan too, but we named our boxer Keenan and now I can't use it because even though we no longer have that dog - its our old dog's name LOL
