    Acne - Painful - Random???

Not sure what is going on but I'd like to run it past others to see what people think...

Last week I broke out in random acne all at once... was worried that I'd gotten chicken pox or something as it was all in clusters, with them appear on the back of my neck, and group on my lower back, from my ear down to my chin on both sides, and down one side of my face down the hair line, and on my chest.

I popped into the Chemist the day they appeared and they said not chicken poxs but could be stress related...

Now they are painful, my skin feels sore to touch... what's going on??? Anyone know anything magic to help until I can get to the doctors? I already use a antibacterial soap.

Not sure what's causing it but it might be a good to see the dr to rule out a bacterial infection (eg staph).

BUT: try soaking in a bath with 1-2 cups of Epsom salts. This is incredibly good for acne, rashes, even hives (which is what I used it for last week with miracle results).

Could it be an allergic reaction - have you changed soaps or shampoo?

I hope the bath gives you some relief - it might still be worth seeing the Dr, given the distribution. If they are really sore to touch it might even be something like shingles - seeing the Dr earlier rather than later could give you some antiviral options. Hope it's not that, and just some random outbreak.
