    Mirena/Subseptate uterus/Retroverted uterus

So my uterus is a little funky...

    It's Retroverted (it tilts back)
subseptate (It divides into a left/right horn - looks like a Y shape)

Has anyone been able to get the Mirena with these issues?

I have retrovereted uterus & had mirena for ~5 years (currently TTC). Was the best thing ever, regular, much lighter periods. Wouldn't think having a deviated uterus would make a difference though.

Sorry, I forgot to add that I too have a subseptate uterus (I also have 2 cervix).

Well I went to the gyno.

They are putting me under to put it in so they can have a good look first :-)

That's great Cat. I was going to say I have a retroverted uterus and I had a mirena put in. It was apparently more difficult and slightly more ouchies it's than it usually is. At least you know they are going to put it in the exact right place first time.

Lenny he said the retroveted wasn't so much the problem it was more the space from the cervix to the fundus (top of uterus).

So they are going to have a good look with the camera first and then stick it in under guidance, should have the appointment on the 23rd.
