    Best vacuum cleaner?

We currently have a wertheim with power head that is almost 9 years old and having a few issues, it has been great and I could probably spend a by and get it serviced and repaired but thinking about a new one.

Dyson? Meile? What do you have. I want to definitely have a turbo/power head and needs to be good for hard floors and carpet.

    What type of Dyson N2L?

I have been tossing up between an upright or a normal one?

I have a DYSON & I love it, even considering buying the stick version for 'on the go' cleaning but DP won't agree

I have a barrel Dyson and a hand held Dyson.

And I bought a roomba. Haven't used the Dysons since.

The roomba does a good job between the fortnightly cleaner. But if I only had one, I'd get the big Dyson.

Had a Kirby. Hated it. Too heavy.

Dyson. The latest model has just been released (6 years in development, watch TVSN if you want to know it all). I am drooling over the new one, I so want it. I have had two Dysons in the past 15 years.

Biggest tip, get all the tools you can with the model you choose. An extra $50 now, can save a couple of $100's later when you realise you do want the dusting wand etc

I have a Dyson Allergy and its great*.
Easy to use, not too heavy, suction is excellent.

*Then again, after living without a vacuum cleaner at all for the last year I think Id have been excited at the prospect of a dust buster. Lol

We have a Dyson Animal upright. It's very powerful. We've had it over a year and it's already been back for fixing.

We also have a LG Roboking, which is great. Not as powerful, but it cleans when we're not there. We get the Dyson out about once a fortnight.

I loved my dyson, I miss my dyson, my back misses my dyson :'(

The next vac I get will be another upright dyson, the one we have on loner from my parents works, but its killing my already shot back. Plus I have to really work to suck up everything whereas the dyson (in its functional days) did that one go.

We're saving for the allergy dyson.

Do you need the animal or allergy models if you have no pets or carpet?

I got the allergy because we dont have pets and I liked the idea of the better filter. I hate it when the room ends up smelling like Ive been vacuuming (like dust I guess). Lol

Edit: I will have carpet in the next few weeks

Another vote for the Dyson. I love mine I had quite a few cheapies before we took the plunge and spent a small fortune on it. Wish I had of done it sooner!!

    Don't we love our Dysons?

We've got one too. Barrell with Hepa filter. Is that the allergy thing? Coerced DH into buying it just after we got married so its been going almost 6 years. Still going strong. DH freaked about how much it cost and wanted to buy another one but I convinced him and he's really glad we got it now - it is great.

Now I'm working to convince him we need a robot vac Wish Dyson made those!

    Edit: ooh.
    Dyson robot vac rumour...
