We chose a smaller (round) trampoline (8ft) I think and I like it because it provides enough bounce for 1-2 kids without taking up a huge amount of room in the yard. The bigger the trampoline gets, the higher they are as well. Ours is a good height for younger kids I think.
We went with a 10 ft Vuly after fully intending to get the 12 ft. We went to the shop and saw how big they were and decided 12 was just too much even though we have a big yard. I think the weight limit was the same for both. I've never wished we'd gone for the bigger one since having it, and dd and her friends have plenty of room for bouncing.
The weight limit is important. I added my weight to that of my husbands and looked for a trampoline with that weight limit or higher.
Then I got a biggish size so that there is room for both of them plus friends. Safety be damned
I have this exact dilemma at the moment! What a nice dilemma to have though
I am torn between the 8 foot and 10 foot. Was leaning towards the 8 but as Zazou mentioned, the weight limit is a factor. I think the 10 foot Vuly has the same weight restriction as the 12 foot, the 8 is less...think we'll be going the 10 based on that.
Anyway, I would go with the biggest you can fit in! The kids are only going to get bigger
I agree with Hestia. We only have one child and she is now 11. When we got the tramp for her 4 years ago, I thought with one child that 10ft would be fine forever but now that she is taller and does gymnastics and wants to do flips and tricks, a 12 ft would be better as she starts at one side and ends up on the other almost putting her foot through the springs. It is hard to imagine when they are little but they do need the space later on.
Not sure if Vuly have the oval shaped ones but the kids that do tricks seem to like them as they have the length.
We got the biggest oval available in the Springfree we bought when DD1 was four. Soooo glad now - there's often a bunch of kids on their now and sometimes DH with them (less often me!). Trampolines are unattractive and take up a whole bunch of space anyway, may as well make sure it's going to last the distance and get maximum use.

We have a 15ft up to 150kg weight limit one, it is huge but we live on 3/4 acre. We wanted one that would hold dh's weight as well as the kids at the same time and we have had up to 6 kids on it at once.
If you have the space I would go bigger as more space will be needed as kids grow.
