    MCHN Training

Just wondering what the course is called that MCHN's complete in NSW? Uni/ Tafe? Is it actually a specific course or are many likely to be nurses and then branch out?

Im sure there is a basic answer but for some reason I am unable to find it!

    TIA

Your correct Olive, in Victoria a mchn must have previously been a midwife.

Yes Victoria must be a Nurse and Midwife before can become a MCHN. Victoria is only state that this is the case. It is an awesome job!

I am currently studying CFHN through the college of nursing. I'm in NSW. In NSW you don't have to be a midwife but you do have to be an RN. I looked at many courses before deciding on mine. You can do it through KAritane, trisillian (uni of Sydney) tasmania and flinders. Probably others also
