We were recommended 6 months ago by our fertility specialist to see one. I think they work more on science than religion as she has a degree in health science then extra qualifications in nutrition, Chinese traditional medicine etc. she basically has altered our diet added in various supplements and herbal tonic to help our bodies be healthier. She tested blood, urine and irises before deciding on treatment and adjusts as required.
We both feel much better and have avoided many of the bugs and germs that DS brings home from his visit to Childcare each week. If you are open to diet and lifestyle changes, naturopaths are great
i think some naturopaths are more "spiritual" than others. If its not something you are comfortable with just make sure you research them before. Most are based on Science or years of research into natural medicine.
I have used Naturopaths and Traditional Chinese Medicine and i found better results with the TCM. My MIL on the other hand loves her naturopath and has seen great results.
I would research a Naturopath or TCM that has experience in the areas you want help with. I know a friend of mine had great success with getting help for her depression via natural means, but the healthcare provider she went to had a special interest in that area and quite a bit of success.
natropaths are based off the understanding of how the body reacts to the stressors on it. (im in my 1st year of it )
As a rule we treat the person no the symptoms. we ask about diet, medication, emotional health physical and family medical history. some natropaths also an look at the iris of the eye and see what is out of whack some do live blood ananlisus (becoming less common) as well as being able to suggest and persribe supliments like multivitamans and spasifics like magnisusm
some are more spiritual then others; having other certificates in other alternative therapies. we dont claim to practice medicine - we dont have that right. but we do aim to work with the body and work with you and *your* needs. its worth a try

I havent done much reading on it (yet) but parts of the iris can be inflamed or discoloured (seen under a speical scope thing) and they connect to varying body parts/organs.
We treat the body as a whole, so you may have constant runny noses which could be a sign something else is not working effectively s the bodys way of manageing that is to make the mucus membains run in over drive to flush/ballance it out. the human body is an amazeing thing - the way its all interconnected is pritty full on.
