    new to IVF- Advice please

Good morning ladies, I am new to the world of IVF but not to the world of infertility. Im coming up to my 6th round of clomid and have known I am pushing my luck with further cycles.
Had an appointment with monash IVF on friday and loved my doctor but didnt like the cost.....$9000 up front. Im the only one working in the household so money is tight anyway.
I have just emailed the fatility clinic in dandenong victoria as they are a lot cheaper (around $4000) and have 2 payment plans. Has anyone been through this clinic before??

Is there any tips people can help me with for example how was your experience with your first cycle etc.

    Thanks in advance xx

    Hi Lilliansmummy!

It has been a very long time since we were part of the IVF rollercoster and things were much cheaper back then.

I cant help with that particular clinic as Im in another state but with our first cycle it was used in a kind of 'experimental' way. It was a cycle to test what levels of meds would stimulate, if it was too much, not enough etc. Our first cycle was actually the easiest of all, no major side effects etc. That said, it was also our least successful in terms of egg production. I think for a lot of people it really is just the start and used to see how your body responds to the meds and how they can improve on it for next time. That isn't to say that that isn't the cycle that will give your BFP either

Best of luck with it and I hope someone else has the answers to the new clinic you are looking into
