    Predicting gender at 12 week/nuchal scan (nub?)

    As the title states, does anyone have any experience predicting gender by looking at 12 week scan? I have no idea what I'm looking for? I'll try and post a pic below

    No suggestions, just saying hi Amaunet! Looks like your scan went beautifully! I too wondered with my 12 week scan as there is a 'nub' somewhere down there but DH said it was bone.

    From that pic I would say 'Girl' as it is very straight, normally a boy would be at an angle pointing upwards slightly.

    I suppose we will know if my prediction is correct in a few more weeks

    looks like a girl to me. it's usually to do with the angle of the nub. girls nubs tend to point downward at 30 degree angle and boys up at 30 degree angle. Google "angle of the dangle" to check out other peoples nub pics

    I would say girl too. I examined my fourth boys nub, his was definitely on an angle.

    Our u/s tech correctly predicted a girl based on this for DD2 at the 12 wk scan. This time the tech wasn't prepared to guess, but we got a girl anyway. The angle thing is def what they went by, but I guess it depends on the clarity and accuracy of the pic as much as the tech.
