    New Pregnancy

    Hi all!!

This is my second (with 1st baby) pregnancy. My last one ended at 10wks with a blighted ovum.

I'm currently not feeling anything regarding symptoms and i'm around 5w3d.

Is there anyone else out there in a similar situation? How are you coping and whats helping you get through the first trimester?

    Re: New Pregnancy

Oh it is so very tough after a loss. I have one baby and this is my third pregnancy. 5 weeks is still so early and most people still have such subtle symptoms then, if at all. With my DD I had to remind myself I was pregnant, except for period type twinges and sore boobs (the latter of which subsided by 6 or so weeks anyway). This time, maybe because I'd only just finished breastfeeding DD a few weeks into the new pregnancy, I had zero boob symptoms and not much of anything else. So you have no reason to worry based on symptoms or lack thereof.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I have had 1 baby and 2 losses, with my DS I had no real symptoms until almost 7 weeks.

As much as symptoms are reassuring I hope you can relax and enjoy the pregnancy

    Re: New Pregnancy

But if it were only a week then it would still say 2-3 plus pregnancy tests don't test or read how much hcg is there, just that it's there. Even a digi is not entirely accurate. It's a guesstimate at best as it is only measuring your urine levels not blood which is by far more accurate and not prone to discrepencies based on how long you've held, how much liquids you've consumed etc. Don't give up hope!

This helped me when I fell pregnant two months after a loss- one miscarriage does not mean you are now more susceptible to miscarrying. X
