    Progesterone only = crazy?

Just switched to mini pill after having implanon removed (constant break thru bleeding) and I've now got next to no patience with my boys snapping at the slightest thing (& I don't think it's the heat)
I'm looking for a little advice/ suggestions. Mum & sis also had issues on progesterone only contraception as well. I'd consider swapping to a combined pill BUT I'm still breastfeeding ds2 (had no issues pre kids on combined pill). I intend feeding ds2 until he's at least 2, so have at least 3 months if not more to continue.
I know I need to go back to GP to work things out by he's cut his days and he wasn't that helpful with other options when I went to get implanon removed, offered mini pill as only option.

I'm thinking I need to stop mini pill (even though I've only been taking it for 3 weeks) and find an alternative to use for at least 3 months (not sure if more children are on the cards or not yet) so not really considering marina (?sp) and I'm not comfortable with that.

Are my only breastfeeding safe contraception options condoms if progesterone only stuff makes me crazily short tempered?

Have you looked into the depo injection? I'm not sure if it's safe with breastfeeding though.

I've looked into that but it's progestrone only so don't think I'll survive 3 months of being crazy (and neither will DH - he's over the extremely irritated me)b

Ah, didn't realise that, kinda defeats the purpose!

There's a good website floating around the place, think it's call "what kind of contraception are you".

Google it and hopefully you may get a suitable answer.

looks like condoms until I wean properly and watching cycle - all alternatives contain progesterone only except combined pill that I'll willing to try. DH will have to put up with that or have a crazy woman living with him & our DSs

I know someone who can't take the pill because it turns her into a psycho. Not sure which part and why tho.
She has a marina in and hasn't hd any crazy issues with it
