Could you use the drynites? Poor thingso hard when he doesnt want to do it but can't help it.
DS (4.5yrs) was in night nappies up until a month ago. The child psych suggested I try him without so I did and he did really well. Only had 1 accident in 2 weeks.
But since having to move 3 weeks ago he has wet the bed 5 out of 7 nights a week. I put it down to being stressed and upset we had to move but its not getting any better. Last night he wet his bed, came into mine and wet my bed too
He goes to the toilet before bed and anytime he wakes in the night I send him too. No drinks after dinner.
Both my old and new case managers have suggested putting him back in nappies but that would be such a huge step backwards and he doesnt want to be in nappies so it would be upsetting for him too.
Wwyd? Im so over washing sheets and the whole house stinking of wee but it has taken so long to get to this point I dont want to put us back at square 1.

I was using the pull ups but calling them nappies.
When I was over the washing and decided to use pull ups again, I told them the the character (wiggles, lightening, whoever was there) on nappy doesn't really want to be wee'd on but would help in case you had an accident..
It worked here knowing it was just a back up..
Can you get a couple of Conni's or Kylie's? They are mats/bed pads that go on top of the bottom sheet. So they sleep on top of that. That way you don't have to change the whole bed, just wash and dry the Kylie or Conni and Pj's and put them straight back on the bed.
You can also buy the disposable version from the supermarket.
Stop calling them nappies.
We had similar issues with DD1, started calling them her Night Time Knickers and she asked to wear them. Regression is normal. Emotional upset is a normal trigger for bedwetting. It is not a step backwards to let him wear them again and enable him to rebuild his confidence, which comes from waking in a dry bed everyday.
Thanks girls.
Ill have a look for the sheet protectors and find some night time undies.
I know its normal just frustrating.
You could try brolly sheets as well (different brand) but that's what I found easiest. DS1 is doing the I want to wear undies to bed thing but not staying dry as well so I get that. I offer the pajama pants/night pull ups most nights when I help dress him for bed and sometimes he uses them sometimes not. (DH doesn't usually offer as DS wants to be in undies mostly)
I found that I've needed 3-4 brolly sheets sometimes (I was trying for 1-2 but when DS2 moved to a big bed I got a couple extras as spares and needed them when they didn't have a chance to dry)
I hear your frustration - plus all that laundry is annoying!!
All my 3 girls have become dry at night at different ages. In fact, my almost 8 yr old is more like to wet the bed still than her younger sisters. Being dry at night is not a concious skill that can be learnt. It's a physiological maturity plus an awareness in the sleep issue. My oldest is such a heavy sleeper in the first 5 hrs that she has no idea she's wet the bed, whereas my middle girl will always wake up and go to the toilet in the night if she needs too. They are just different and mature at different rates with different skills.
I personally love brolly sheets and have them on all the kids beds at all times as I then can guarantee in the event of vomit or nosebleeds, my nice mattresses will remain sanitary!! But for bed wetting, they are so easy. Just whip it off, in the wash with wet pjs, new one on the bed, clean pjs and child is asleep again. Very easy.
Good luck.
What about reusable night training pants, so they look more like undies? Nice patterns too. WomButts and Genesa Forge have them, but I know there are heaps of others.
My eldest had bed wetting for a while. And we found some disposable bed liners/sheets there the dri nights brand and they sit on or under the sheet and work like a nappy. They cover a big part of the bed so you place where need. They worked well for us
Bed pads are great. (Connie or Kylie) but can be a bit expensive. Aldi sometimes has them. You can also double sheet the bed for quick night change- so- mattress protector, fitted sheet, mattress protector, fitted sheet. Much quicker in thr night.
