    Spray tan

I have a wedding in a couple of weeks and want to get a spray tan. I've never had one before.

Any tips or recommendations? I would like just a light tan, not the orange look! My skin is patchy tanned, so darker lower arms, lighter tops of arms.

Am I better off getting it done the morning of the wedding or can I have good results if I get it the day before as we're going to be a bit pressed for time on the day?

Anything else I should know? Can anyone recommend me somewhere to get it done? I'm outer north of Melbourne.

I don't really have any tips sorry as I've not had one done before by my sister and mum go to the beauty salon near where you live. Where they live. Lol. Kwim? Pretty sure there's only one. Ask for Callie.

Eta: I go back there to get my waxing done, with Callie. She's fabulous.

The day before is probably better as it takes time to develop fully.

No tips other than to wear loose clothing and to exfoliate for a few days beforehand. The girls at the salon will be able to help you choose which colour.

    Re: Spray tan

    Hey there
I'm a beauty therapist - here are my recommendations.
Look for somewhere that does SunFX spray tans, they are brilliant and chemical free. I've never once looked orange and I've used this product for years and years.
I always get mine the day before, but you can get it two days before and it still looks great, and that way if there is a problem you have time to get it fixed -just moisturise the skin after you wash it off to keep it hydrated.
The longer developing tans look better than the rapid tans, so unless you need to get a rapid developing one for some reason, stick to the original tan.
Exfoliate gently the day before, but don't go crazy and over exfoliate either.
Wax or shave the day before the tan, else it can remove the colour if you do it after.
I also suggest moisturizing daily leading up to the tan so your skin is hydrated and the tan goes on and develops better. Dry skin will look darker and patchy.
I always tell clients to get a tan a few weeks before an event as a trial if they have never had one before just to check if they are happy with it, but again, I've never had a problem with the sun FX tans

    Re: Spray tan

Used to get them back when I was single and much more out and about hehehehe

Always the arvo before, is then developed perfectly for the next day - and yes loose clothing after - be careful of the seatbelt rubbing on skin on the way home after or sweaty children cuddling you lots or you might get a bit patchy

Lots of exfoliating before, I also would shave too (but the morning of so I didn't have any stubble the day of the event) - Like Dee I ensure I was moisturizing lots that week/drinking lots of water etc so my skin was at its best

I always got someone to do it rather than the booths, as then they will even out any patchy areas for you (eg like you mentioned with your arms)

Can't wait to see a pic of you all dressed up - exciting!!

Oh and, this is for the wedding yeah?

Get a shimmery moisturiser for the day that has a little bit of sparkle in it - it will set off your newly browned skin beautifully

I also use a moisturizer with a subtle tan in it like the dove summer glow a few days after the tan to extend it and keep the colour longer. That way it doesn't wear off an get patchy and it's lasts much longer
