    What to use

No, steam mops are no good for timber floors. I wish they were cause it'd make cleaning here much easier.

    Re: What to use

No, no steam mops, it will take the laminate off the top.

You aren't actually supposed to get them wet . WTH are you supposed to clean them with I hear you ask I asked the installer the very same thing I've had them 4 years and I've always used a really well rung out mop. I use boiling water and it dries really quickly.
Some use those Swiffer thingos. Some advocate drying immediately with a towel (umm no that's too hard lol).

I clean house and was never told by the owner not to get hers wet. In any case I use a spray mop with hot water, it dries quickly. Pick the red one over the green one, it lasts longer.

    Re: What to use

I don't have timber flooring, but I put metho in my mop bucket, with hot water. It helps dry the floor quicker. Don't know if that'd help you?

Metho and hot water is recommended by most timber flooring specialists.

We have the old fashioned hardwood floors. I use metho and boiling water with a splash of Eucalyptus oil to make it smell nicer.
