    Internal bleed only?

So I found out today that I'm 7 weeks (YAY!) the sonographer asked me a few times if I'd had any bleeds (I haven't) and then pointed out that there was an internal one, looked to me to be about half the size of the gestational sac, but didn't say much past that except it might be implantation. The baby was fine, heartbeat was 150. I can't get to the doctor for the report for a few days and since my job includes a lot of lifting, cleaning, bending awkwardly, should I tell work I need to take it easy or something? I get that the technicians aren't allowed to really tell you anything but I was under the impression that when something like this happens I'm supposed to take it easy and go for follow up scans to see whether it gets reabsorbed? I really have no idea whats going on and google is scary haha any insight would be much appreciated.

If I were you I would play it safe, no lifting etc until you have seen the doctor and have their advice/instructions!
Although I am fairly certain what your describing is quite common!

Thankyou, that's what I'm doing. Took the week off work and hopefully can see the doctor in the next few days. Just freaking out a little, as pregnant women do you know?

Haha yes I know! Enjoy your week off, go hire lots of DVDs and veg out on the couch, because this pregnancy is about to get serious and when your back at work feeling nauseous and have the standard first Tri eye-about-to-fall-out-of-your-head exhaustion you will be reminiscing of your time on the couch!
    Good luck

    Re: Internal bleed only?

Sooo two things now, I've started having what feels like braxton hicks which is weird, it's way too early for that. Also, my boss is being a cow. A couple owns the shop I work at and when I rang and told them, the husband was like yes, of course, let me know about next week after you see the doctor, lay down, no drinking or drugs! (joking obviously ) and today, the wife was telling me how she wants me to come back Friday because one of the other young girls is going on another week long cruise (she loves to tell me that family is more important than work and then leaves me to work Easter and Christmas and Birthdays when I'm the one with the child and step-child) Most of the time I'm okay with this although I've worked Christmas the last 3 years, but I'd like to think that maybe she would be okay with me not working just this once. It wouldn't matter being one person down at work if my boss stayed in for once on a weekend instead of going to sunnybank shopping and visiting family like she does every other week. I don't need advice for this bit, just....grrrr venting haha

    Re: Internal bleed only?

Oh Kigga, are you sure we didn't work for the same people??? I had the same issues at my work! My bosses (also a couple) had me working 12 hours days during my first Tri because they had fired people but were yet to rehire and when I became so exhausted (add another 2hours onto that day for travel) and sick from working so hard I called in sick and was then conferenced called by the bosses to say that I was letting my pregnancy get in the way of their business and they were really disappointed that I hadn't looked after myself properly and that I shouldn't be doing such long hours and I nearly fell off my chair considering they were the ones that snowed me under with work so it wasn't possible to have a break of leave before 8pm at night!! And trust me it gets worse lol! I'm now at home on Mat leave and couldn't be happier to be out of there!

With regard to the cramping, I had something very similar in my first Tri, I wouldn't call it real cramping, it was more just a strange feeling in my stomach, didn't feel good but it wasn't painful either, just an odd sensation that would sometimes tighten.. I'm pretty sure it's just your body making room and doing what it needs to do! Only time I would be worried about cramping it if it was severe and you started to bleed!
I'm 34 weeks and still have odd pains and cramps and bits and pieces that send me running to the computer to dr google lol! But I know now what is serious and what isn't!
