Large Ovarian Cysts during pregnancy anyone?

I have just had an early ultrasound to rule out ectopic pregnancy due to my history and experiencing ovary pain.

My scan today showed I had 3 large cysts and a collapsed cyst as well as the corpous luteum on my left ovary. The largest cyst was 7.8cm by 6.8cm. Just wondering has anyone else had this happen and if so what was the outcome?

I can't get into a specialist for another 7 weeks.

I don't know mildez , but at my ultrasound I've been diagnosed with a large one also on my rt ovary, it's 6.63cm x 6.24cm.

And another on my left not so big.
It does give pain on and off.
They go down on their own I think?
But I was told they will keep an eye on it.
I wonder if it's from fertility drugs?
As I was taking them before this pg.

Re: Large Ovarian Cysts during pregnancy anyone?

Thanks for your reply Sarah. I have had 5 scans now to check on them. The last scan showed the 2 smaller ones were shrinking but the largest is the same. It did grow and got to 10cm at largest but now they are saying its 7.8cm again.
At 10weeks my Ob wanted to operate between 12-14weeks. I originally thought it was because of their size and the fact they were growing but when I saw him at 12weeks he said he wanted to remove them because the two smaller ones showed complex features which was concerning. Apparently they had septums which was of concern. But by 12weeks the two smaller ones (which measured 4 and 5cm originally) were only 2 cm each. So he was happy to leave them seeing as they are shrinking.
He said the way things are going I should not have any problems during the pregnancy but if the large one does not shrink there is a possibility when I deliver the cyst will twist my ovary on its way back into place when the uterus goes from been at its largest to less than 1/4 of the size in a matter of seconds So there is a chance I will need emergency surgery shortly after delivery. I have hope that it will slowly shrink over the next 26weeks
