The funniest response to breastfeeding I've had so far

We have a guy here this morning setting up new Internet for us. He was on the roof banging and drilling, putting up the dish. DS didn't like the noise much so I started feeding him and he's started going to sleep so I'm just sitting here for a bit.

Anyway, the guy finished on the roof and came in to do the router bit. DD helped him move some stuff out the way and I just hoped he didn't think I was rude for not getting up. Had a bit of a chat and he got to work. Suddenly, he sits up, facing the wall and say "Oh, I just had a thought. Um, are you breastfeeding?" I kind of thought he meant in general, not right now, like this router might be bad for breastfeeding (yes, I know, complete blonde moment!) so I said yes and he says "Is it alright for me to be here? I can wait a bit if you like! Sorry, it just occurred to me you might be and I didn't realise!"



So I told him of course it's fine, if he didn't even notice then that's great! But just the way he sat bolt upright and looked at the wall, it still has me laughing!

Haha aw what a darling. Was he young? I find most young guys dont really know how to respond to it (not in a bad way, just that they aren't sure of what the mother is comfortable with, IYKWIM?).

He would have been in his 40s I reckon. I thought it was so sweet of him to ask, he said he has a 9 year old DD so maybe his wife had found breastfeeding difficult, or uncomfortable or something.
