Really the only one out of your list that I don't like too much is Emlyn. Not much help in narrowing it down, but I think whatever you choose will be nice.
Max
Aiden
Emlyn
Hugo
Zack
Hi,
We're still rather at a loss for selecting a name (or even a good shortlist of names) for our boy on the way.
Names we're considering are:
Max
Aiden
Emlyn
Hugo
Zack
Other names we really like but which have been ruled out for various reasons are:
Leo
Felix
Will
Roland
Last name will be X from "and a X in a pear tree" from the 12 days of christmas song.
We're considering Louis as a middle name but only if it ends up fitting nicely.
Unfortunately we still prefer any of the ruled out names to any of the ones on our shortlist.
I'd love to get your opinions/preferences of our short listed names and also if you have other name suggestions feel free to suggest away!
Thanks!

I agree- not keen on Emlyn. It sounds like a girl's name to me. My fave on your list is Zack.
Another one that thinks Emlyn is quite feminine, however, it doesnt matter what i think at all
If you both love names on the 2nd list thats been ruled out, i say just go for it. I dont know the reasons they have been ruled out but unless its because a sibling has already used the name i would seriously consider using them if i loved them as much as it sounds like you do.
Other suggestions are:
Roman
Oliver
Luca
Isaac
Xavier
I also don't like Emilyn. Sorry
I have three boys and their names are Noah, Hamish and Tobias. Haven't come across many Hamish's or many Tobias's either.
Thanks guys! And don't worry about not liking Emlyn. That's helpful even![]()
I don't like Emlyn either. It seems feminine to me.I like Hugo the most from your list.
My boys names are Liam and Caelan (kay-lan).
Other names I had on my boys list were:
Owen
Callum
Noah
Lachlan
Kade
Jesse
I like Hugo
For some reason I like felix the bestlol
Although we do get a lot of "felix the cat" and "fix it felix"...
I like Max best.
Is there a way you can get past what's stopping you from using the other names? I only ask because I originally counted out my dd's name as we know someone with a daughter with her name. It was so hard to find a name we liked so we reconsidered. We decided it wasn't a close enough connection to be an issue.
Thanks guys. Yeah we might be able to get past the Felix one. My supervisor at the moment is Felix and so it feels particularly weird at the moment but I'll probably have less to do with him in later years, though I hope and plan to keep in contact with him. The rest of the family have less to do with him.
Either way I don't think we'll actually decide until the babies born. But this is really helping us get a good short list that we're comfy with. Thanks!
