Did you ask them about it? ('Is that standard procedure? Why did the FS change their mind?'
Personally I would choose a clinic I trusted.
I've had 5 unsuccessful IVF treatments. I'm trying a new clinic called PRIMARY IVF in Sydney which means it only cost $500. To cut a long story short, they want me to start my first injection 5 DAYS after my period! (short cycle starting with 350 of Gonal f)
- they said it was because my progesterone for at 7 (too high?) - I think it's because they've overbooked patients and can't fit me in because the specialist said I was fine to start straightaway but changed her mind 15 mins later after consulting someone else.
5 days into my cycle doesn't sound right to me. I don't want to undergo another IVF cycle unless it's optimal and I have to decide by tomorrow! Please help!! (I'm 43, with around 8 eggs per cycle).
Thanks so much for your help!

The specialist said I was fine to start the cycle. She went away to get some paperwork. Came back and said there were 30 patients already starting a cycle this month. I said I couldn't skip a cycle. She went away to talk to someone. Came back after 5 minutes and said that my progesterone level was too high (at 7) and I had to get more tests and start on Monday. But she said I was fine to start straightaway 5 minutes ago. I asked why has she changed her mind. She just kept saying my progesterone level was too high even though she never mentioned it before. I told her it will be day 5 of my period. She looked surprised but then keep repeating the same speech. So now that's the only option I have.
I had replied here but than I looked a the date, and I gathered you have probably started, and wish you all the best if you did.
