Waterbirth VBAC?

Have my first appt with my IM tomorrow and I'm going to try for a VBAC and really want a water birth!

Has anyone here ever had one? Does anyone know the extra monitoring they would do, whether I'd be in and out of the water anyway etc?

I had a waterbirth with my hbac. The only monitoring I had was a Doppler check every now and again, which I'm guessing would be no different if it wasn't a vbac? You wouldn't need to be in and out of the water unless you wanted to.

OMG you're pregnant!!!! Congrats!

I'd say it depends where you're going. Where I had my babies I think you'd be fighting pretty hard, but worth investigating!

Haha thanks Luna unfortunately had a loss. Back on the wagon though

I had hired an independent midwife and the GCUH is apparently okay with it, just with extra monitoring so still the plan.. Just at a different time.
