Kathryn can you update please Thanks.
Well we have had a busy weekend! Saturday we cleaned the house as we have rent inspection on Wed this week!!! This morning I had a tupperware party to go to and then Jack had a birthday party at Maccas this afternoon. Almost finished cleaning the house, really just tidying up, vacuuming and mopping to do and then it will be done!
I am working all week this week but then next week I only have one day of work!!! It should be an interesting week.
Asha is eating mashed food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more pureed mush! Made her potato, pumpkin and broccoli yesterday and she loves it!!! Must type a letter to the girls at day care as Asha's routine has changed quite a bit!!! This is the new routine (times are approx)
6.30am Wake up
7.30am Breakfast
8.30am Bottle 240mls
9.30am Sleep (about an hour)
11.30am Lunch
12.30pm Sleep (about 2 hours)
2.30pm Bottle 240mls
5.00pm Dinner
5.30pm Bath
6.30pm Bottle 240mls
7.15pm Bed time
I give Asha lunch at 11.30 because that is the time she has it at day care when I am at work and I like things to stay as routine as possible for her because as she gets older we have no choice but to have routine in our house!!! Especially because we also have Dancing on Monday after school (Emma) Football training Wed pm (Jack) Swimming Fri am (Asha) Karate Fri pm (Emma) Football Sat am (Jack) and Ryan Uni (every second Sat am). In between all that I am working Mon - Wed and still have all the shopping, housework and washing to do!!!!!!!!! Good thing holidays are in a week and a half!!!!!!!
Better go as I need some sleep before work tomorrow!!!!
4am - Wake screaming, put into our bed
4.30 - squirm and grizzle in bed, get kicked to death
6.30 - give up and get out of bed
7.00 - Breakfast
8.00 - whine and grizzle due to not enough sleep
9.30 - sleep under protest (about 30mins)
10.00 wake
11am lunch
3.30 sleep under protest (about 30mins)
4.00 bottle
6.00 dinner
7.30 first attempt at bed
8.30 second attempt at bed
9.30 finally go to sleep under protest
1.00am wake and grizzle - back to sleep in 20 mins
07.00 (roughly) - Up, has bottle filled to brim LOL then breakfast
09.30 - will try to get him down for a nap but he is starting to want to miss this now
11.00 - if he went for a nap he is up and has another bottle filled to the brim
12.00 - Lunch, Vegemite or Fish/chicken paste sandwiches
13.30 - Bed
15.00 - Up another bottle
17.00 - tea
18.00 - bath
18.30 - bottle
19.00 - bed
hmmm we are still on 4 bottles a day at a minimum.... but they are only 200mls because she refuses anymore after that... and its a waste of formula. But other than that it all sounds really similar, even the protesting sleep bits
Well I had work & Matilda had her last daddy/daughter day and he's very sad tonight, wants to do everything (let him!) So I get to come on here YAY!
Sorry for being so awol girls... I have had quite the social life lately!! \/
Went out on Friday evening for coffee with my sisters and some friends... and I went without Aidyn!! Tell you what, it has been so long since I have gone and done something like that by myself, that I was almost having minor anxiety attacks from it! I found it amazing how much I use Aidyn for a cover in social situations, iykwim, so when he's not with me I felt really exposed... and also had a hard time with the conversations cause none of it was baby related (as I am the only one with a bub)
Anyway, I probably sound like a weirdo to you all now, but I was seriously freaking out... I have probably only been out on one other occasion like that in the past 10.5 months!! 8-[
The on Saturday DP and I went to Southbank and met up with his workmate and wife and their 12 month old son. So we had a pretty good time!
And on Sunday DP, Aidyn and I went on a picnic with my damily at the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens...
And today my cousin Mara (and her bub Tahlia) and I went there again (Botanical gardens) and we all the NICEST time... it was so relaxing and beautiful... we are definately going to do it again!!
I have put down the deposit for our 'mini' holiday, so its all set - we're going! Aidyn is going to come with us, as we have decided to go for 2 nights, and there is no way I can leave him for 2 whole nights! He would probably be rather upset too... Anyway we are soooo looking forward to it, we are going in mid April, up to Maleny on the Sunshine Coast hinterland, and staying in these little country cottages.
Did someone mention in the last thread about Weetbix being like cement?! I totally agree... it gives me the sh*ts everymorning cause it gets sooo sticky and on EVERYTHING! The good news though is that Aidyn eats a whole one for breakkie now which is awesome.
Aidyns routine is still a bit varied, as it really depends on the time he goes to sleep at night.
Will give an example anyway.
7.30am - wakes up and has bottle
9.00am - nap
9.45am - wake up, have breakfast (weetbix)
12pm - yogurt
12.30pm- nap
1.30 - wake up
2.30pm- has vegemite or cottage cheese sandwich
4.30pm-nap
5pm- wake up
6pm- dinner
7pm-bath
Anywhere from 7.30-9pm - bottle and bed.
11pm-midnight - another bottle.
That is one examply, but it really does vary. If he wakes before 8am, he will usually have 3 naps that day, but if its after 8am, he will only have 2.
anyway, thats it from me atm... time to get some shut eye!
It is very quiet in here. I guess there are a few of us who are about to graduate to the 12 month thread.
Shayla has been really grizzly the past few days. I am pretty certain it is more teeth but they are taking forever. She is getting really croaky as well. If she is still craocky tomorrow I might book her into the dr and get her Granda to take her while he is babysitting her.
Other than that not much happening in my neck of the woods. I am looking forward to having a four day break with hubby, Shayla, SIL, BIL and my neice.
Hi all!! We had a reasonable night sleep last night, unfortunately after the one wake up I stayed up for an hour ](*,) so frustrating when you are tired and awake.... oh well Matilda then woke up at 7am!! YAY!!! She hasn't done that for ages, what an amazing difference to the day...
I think I am jinxed from ever posting in here, but here goes again today (been trying since weekend)
Lulu can realate to the concealer!! Mitchell does not like going to bed does he?
LOL I think we definatily win the most wake ups in a night (or is that lose? ) Felix has nights where he wakes up every hour or 2 for a feed, thank god we co-sleep or else I'd be going mad! I think he thinks my breasts are an all night milk bar! He sleeps well through the day 2 lots of around 1.5 hours and I actually enjoy that because I get to have time without walking him around the house!!
Ambah I feel excatly like you the few occasions I have been out without felix, especially at the supermarket, I realise he has become my identity and I feel naked without him! I wonder if people look at me and realise that I'm a mother, it's really a weird feeling, I had one night (of mad cleaning our old house till midnight) where I actually enjoyed working really hard and being in my own world without any distractions or potential distarctions..I felt so free, but I got home and Felix and DP were sitting up on the chair asleep together and Felix had spilled his EBM, it made me feel sad that I'd left him..
Well Felix is very determined to walk now, he cruises the walls now like a little gecko, and stands at the edge of the couch with one hand flapping at me to take him walking around the house, he can actually guide me where he wants to go, it's really funny, but exhausting! Just pinning him down to eat is hard, but he seems to have found a taste for NICE biscuits and I use them as dessert (full of sugar but high calorie!)
I cooked a roast lamd and he LOVED the bone, cried when he dropped it, now he's NEVER done that before with food, I think because it was part toy part food..
The expressing EBM isn't going that great, I have trouble getting him to drink extra still, I just wonder if formula would be any point anyhow because he may not even drink it! I talked to an ABA councillor and she said the nasal gastric tube may be alot more peace of mind for everyone and it's unlikely that at this age when breastfeeding is so established that he'd give up the boob for bottle unless I wanted it to happen..which I don't.
I get a bit angry sometimes because this weight thing/illness is interfering with our way of doing things, I have spent so much time feeling guilty for not wanting to suppliment him and now I just feel angry that we can't just do what is natural and let him eat what he wants to and feed when he likes like most babies get to..not fair that he needs more food than most babies.. okay stepping down from my:soapbox: now..
Kelly your life is SO busy, with working and all those things to do, when do you get time to yourself??
Christy that is so cute about your DH wanting to do everything with matilda because it was his last day with her alone, how absolutely gorgeous! It is such great news that he is working again!
Ambah if you are going to montville for your mini break does that mean no Tamborine??
Clare hope you have a good break away and Shayla's teeth finally come through!
wow katanya its good to hear from you again. We'll be in Tambourine on Anzac day weekend? Maybe we could meet up for Sunday lunchish/morning tea? I think its the 22nd of April? I'll PM you when we get closer
Hey Christy I'd absolutely love to meet up with you then, we'll be up to brisbane on thursday at the hospital but since I don't know how things are going to go I am not going make any plans, specialist said we may have to stay overnight if he needs oxygen aftewards.
I'd say that we'll be up again sometime in the near future again, and if it's a normal appointment hopefully we can get together again..if not and we get good news then maybe I can come up for the day anyhow and we can meet up somewhere that is central for everyone?
Katanya - I'm really sorry we wont be making up to Tamborine Since we decided to go for 2 nights, it would have been too expensive for us to stay at Cedar Creek. And I found a great deal in Maleny...
However, we will hopefully have our car very soon (dont want to jinx myself though!) and I'm sure I can convince Dp to drive us down to Tamborine one day soon, its such a lovely place, and we would love to meet up with you!
Aidyn cut tooth numbers 7 & 8 today!!(his 2nd bottom set) Thankgoodness!! The past week or so hasnt been that great, he has been really cranky, and waking up during the night etc. So hopefully he will cheer up a little once they are all fully through (atm just the corners are poking out)
Have to go to bed now, hopefully will have more time to write properly tomorrow!
Hmmm does anyone elses baby not have any teeth yet???? No sign of teeth for Asha still ... although she has been very unsettled the last 2 days and biting hard on lots of things and not sleeping that well so maybe they will be here soon!!! Emma and Jack both had teeth by 7 months so it seems strange to me that Asha has no teeth yet!!!
Better go I am in the middle of finishing off the cleaning for rent inspection tomorrow *sigh* can't wait for a house of our own!!!
Katanya ... I don't really get any time for me which is how I got shingles I think! No down time much at all.
Less than 2 weeks left in here ****Grabs on for dear life****
Taking lachlan to the doctor tonight to see if he will do his pnuemococcyl vaccination for me. Andrew has to go anyway cause he is home sick today with my cold, so cause I have the car again I tried to get him into the nurse at our local surgery and of course she is fully booked like always. Our other surgery won't let you see the nurse without seeing a doctor first ARGH. The earliest we can see our doctor is 5.10pm so I said is is possible for the doctor to give my son his vaccination. She said that it depends on the doctor some will do it some won't. So I am going to go in as well and beg him to do it otherwise I am never bloody going to get it done, and he did Kameron's immunisations once before for me. We see our doctor at both the surgeries, so he knows how hard it is to see the nurse there.
So I hope he does otherwise it would be a waste of time me going too
Well Dad took Shayla to the Dr's today to be told that she has tonsilitis. She is on antibiotics, so hopefully it will clear up quickly. Poor little mite, she has been so grizzly and unsettled. Hope fully she will be ok while we are away.
Lachlan had his prevnar injection He only cried for about 30 seconds then was okay. Had to hang around for 10 mins to see if there was any severe reaction but there wasn't
