41 weeks - baby going crazy!

    HI everyone,

Has anyone else suffered from their baby moving around so much at this late time? This is my first pregnancy and everyone seems to be telling me that their babies slowed down for a week or so before they gave birth! Mine doesn't seem to know this! Sometimes it moves so much in my upper stomach and down into my pelvis that it is really really painful - i would even think maybe these are contractions except for the baby moving....... Also has anyone ever felt the baby with severe hiccups that feel like convulsions!? This is going to be one active little baby!

By the way i'm booked in to be induced tomorrow - 8 days over......
Any input would be gratefully recieved !

Hi Jupiter, DD was exactly as you described, constantly moving even through labour she was going physcho. She also had major hiccups that felt like convulsions sometimes. When she was a newborn she had them a bit aswel.
Goodluck for tomorrow I hope you have a good labour and birth.

Hi Jupiter. I went 14 days over and even though Angus was big (10p3oz) he still had plenty of space and fluid and made good use of it. He was always wiggling and jiggling, poking his heel out under my left ribs or pushing his shoulders and bum about. No slowing down at all! Lots of hiccups too.

    Good luck for tomorrow!

Jupiter, have you had a kick during a contraction? Ouch! Kicks, punches, headbutts, hiccups and contractions all at once aren't fun, luckily when the baby is being born unlesss something bad happens (like monitoring a baby who hates monitoring... like DS) they do calm down and focus on getting out.

DS still hiccups a lot and is such a wiggle-bum. But ha, I don't have to feel them all any more! Yay! DS was 41+6 when he finally arrived (with a lot of fluid), so not running out of space at all.
