congratulations on ur little man! And ur right. Mode of delivery is not important. Ur health and the bubs health is all that matters hon! I am so excited for you!
hello
WE FOUND OUT ITS A BOY!!
but i have a low lying placenta (1cm away from cervix)... just wondering if anyone else has a low lying placenta?? I have to go back in a few weeks to see if it has moved up... i know the chances of having placenta previa (sp?) is very low but i have had this strange feeling this whole pg that I would deliver via c/s..
IMO i really don't care how my little man comes into this world.. as long as he is healthy and happy.. thats all that matters to me.

congrats on your baby boy, I too have a low lying placenta (just under 1cm away) and so far nothing has happened and just have to have another scan at 32 weeks to see if it has moved up.
I agree that it doesn't matter how bubs enters the world and the same as you have this feeling that I will need a c/s (preeclampsia risk, low placenta and now heart palpitations) - maybe for the both of us mother's intuition is trying to tell us something???
I hope that your placenta moves up for you and that which ever way you deliver you get to hold a healthy baby boy!
Congratulations on news of a blue bundle!1 In most cases (around 80%) the placenta moves up a bit later in the pg as the uterus grows. I was told at my 19wk scan i have a low lying placenta but not to worry as it will most probably move, im going for another scan in about 3wks to check its position.
BOL!
Congrats on finding out u have a baby boy on the way!!! at one of my ultrasounds i was told that i had a low lying placenta and was told to come back a few weeks later and at my next ultrasound they told me it was fine and not to worry but i still had to have another ultrasound at 32 weeks, i didnt mind at all i got to see my bub more!! all the best with everything

Congrats on finding out your having a little boy. I had a LLP when I was preg with Noah. It was only 1cm clear too. I was to have a repeat scan at 32 weeks to see if it had moved, but as Noah was breech the whole way through they didn't bother with the scan until 36 weeks. At this stage it was far enough clear but Noah stayed breech so the c sectioned me any way.
Even if your placenta isn't clear enough at 32 weeks, insist on another scan at around 36 weeks. There is every chance that it could have cleared enough space for bub
Goodluck.
Congrats on a beautiful baby boy! My 18 week scan said my placenta was posterior and more than 20mm clear of internal os. My placenta is now reported as posterior high so it has moved well and truly out of the way. So try not to be too concerned as hopefully this will happen for you too.

thanks everyone.. sounds as though its really common..
i am just worried that it could possibly send me into early labour or something...
I also have had some constant pain for the last couple of days and it feels as though it could be comming from my cervix.. but i can't be sure... do you think this means anything or is it just growing pains?? She didn't say anything yesterday.. so i'm guessing my cervix isn't opening or anything like that..
I have read up on this and there is nothing that says anything about pain.. but if there is bleeding then you should be worried.
I had a LLP at the 20 weeks scan and at the 34 week scan it had moved which was good. I still need a c/s as I can't deliver naturally but that dosn't worry me at all. The end result is still the same.
Congratulations on having a little boy!! I too had a low lying placenta at the 20 week scan, and had another ultrasound at 36 weeks, my obs also told me that if the baby engages then the placenta isn't in the way. My placenta moved up, bub engaged at 36 weeks and had a normal delivery at 41 weeks!
congrats on a beautiful baby boy, i also have a low LLP it's 6mm from cervix and i have to have another scan at 36week I had alot of bleeding in the first Tri but none since 13 weeks and thats a good sign it's moving. i was told that 70% of them will move up and out of the way and at this point in time i just have to b carefull in what i'm lifting not to over exert myself and not to go on a plane so not to plan any exotic holidays.... so for now i'm putting it out of my mind and hoping fngerscrossed i'll be able to go naturally.
i know it dosn't matter how bubs comes into the world as long as it's healthy, but for my own reasons i really want to go naturally.
Congratulations on finding out that you have a baby boy coming his way. Don't worry about the method of delivery because the most important things are the health of you and your baby! So happy for your that you found out the sex of your baby. When I went for my ultrasound, the sonographer could not be certain if my baby is a girl or boy! Oh well, I guess it will be a surprise!
thanks again everyone..
Like i said before.. i don't care the slightest how he gets here as long as he and I are safe and healthy.
my sonographer is calling for me to go back for the next ultrasound at around 26 wks.. is this normal? as everyone else seems to get called back at 30+ weeks..
