Must tell you about how my daughter tried to pick up the sausage man (butcher) last saturday afternoon ...
He was outside the butchers with the bbq and microphone spruiking away and Cait had her new crown for dancing on and as we walked past he called her a princess and she went all shy and coy (very unlike her!).
On the way back about ten minutes later he called her a princess again and for some reason starting making cow and duck noises, which started Cait off on the animal sounds.
We walked a few more shops up to the bakery and she kept asking to see the sausage man ... so I let her go back down while I kept my head stuck out the bakery door in between ordering bread and treats. He was making galloping sounds into the mike and she was trotting around in circles and people were watching. Then he had a 'race' with her up to the bakery and she was laughing her head off and didn't want to leave and for the rest of the afternoon all I heard about was the sausage man and when were we going back to see him.
She's been at my inlaws this week, we pick her up on friday, I wonder if she will remember I said we would go and see him after dancing the next week.
She has also moved into her big girls pink and white room this month without any drama. Before the furniture was in, she was running around in circles in the room saying she was so 'excitement' ! And she seems OK about parting with her baby toys.
Aww Barb that is so cute with the sausage man. My kids love our butcher as well but only cause they both get Fritz (devon) from him LOL
I organised Kameron's birthday party last week, he is getting a Hungry Jacks party and it is only going to cost me $55 as it is $4.95 per child. So YAY to that
Hi - it's only just over two months away, thats not long ! I caught up with a friend today whose son is also four in October and she's organising now. She knows someone, who knows someone else who has something to do with the fire department, so she's trying to get a fire engine to pay a visit ! Her boy is addicted to fireman sam.
Caits birthday is early december - i dont know what to do about it - i could either be VERY pregnant or have a three week old baby ! Would love to do some sort of backyard fairy party, but our backyard is a bit overgrown and dog pooey and I'm not really in a condition to overhaul it like I did for her first birthday.
Going to Ninos restuarant is popular around here at the moment - they have a big kids area and you just buy pizza and chips and nuggets and put them on the table in between playing. I think its a bit inpersonal (impersonal) though.
What could four year old boys be if they came to a fairy party ? A lot of caits friends are boys.
Could you have pirates or make it like Peter Pan and have Tinkerbells and Captain Hooks or peter pans
That would be cool to have the Fire Service turn up for a kids birthday, the Kindy had them come last term and all the kids got a turn to use the hose. Kam thought that was a bit of alright even though he didn't get a shot cause he was a playgroup kid and not a kindy kid so he just had to look on.

We saw the sausage man again this week - I'm thinking of putting out a hat and making money out of her, she had people stop and watch this week. But on the way back past this time, he wasn't out there, so she went in the shop to look for him and to say goodbye. Nick was with us this time, otherwise it might look like I'm trying to pick up the butcher, not my daughter !
Pretty excited here yesterday. Kameron got an official invitation to begin pre-entry into Kindergarten. So I will have to put it away into his collection of things. It was so cute. All nice and formal LOL.
