    another kitchen scales question

Is there any difference, performance wise, between glass topped and stainless steel, of is it just a matter of looks?

I am tossing up between two sets at the moment, both have all the same functions/features, one is glass topped and looks much more attractive than the other. the only other difference is the glass topped ones go to 6kg, the s/s go to 3, but both have tare & 1g increments.

I'd say looks, we have metal and it works fine.

I'd also say it is how it looks. Mine is a glass top one too... I bought it 'cause I liked the look of it (isn't that the main reason why we buy things? lol)
