Wondering if anyone has seen somewhere online preferably, to buy a lava stone to cook on (at least that is what I think it is called?)

DH had dinner with some friends a few months ago and he said they cooked dinner at the table with some sort of a lava stone that you heat up in the oven then take to the table to cook finely sliced meats. he thinks it had something with it to keep the heat in it, like a gas cartridge or something?

Anyone know what my DH is talking about or seen one?
