Is my scar behaving, or is it just muscular pain

I'm going on 35 weeks now and the past week or so i've been really quite sore in my groin and some in my lower abdomin.
From what i can gather (and feel) and what doctor tells me, baby's head is down. I'm waddling everywhere and its sore down there. Yesterday at the shops I was doing the shopping while DH was off getting his hair cut and by the time he got back i was really sore and was having trouble walking but i went on anyway, and when we got to the checkout we had so much shopping that we had to get 2 shopping trolleys, so i was pushing one and the only way i can describe how it felt was it was a similar feeling to just after having a c-section, it was sore down there and i was very breathless and i could feel that my tummy muscles weren't being held tight and strong.
Could this be a sign of maybe its not such a good idea to go through with the VBA2C for me, or is it just pressure from baby sitting low that is just making things uncomfortable but not actually dangerous?
I don't want to be negative about it all but i saw yet another unsupportive OB the other day and the a*hole put some more doubt in my mind saying that he's seen scars during a c-section that were so stretched that they were just about transparent. I don't wanna be stretching mine out like that obviously.

HUn they don't cut all VBAC women open to see what their scar does. For all that ob knows it could be perfectly normal and not even uncommon for that to happen. Just because some women seem to have "windows" over the scar doesn't mean they will rupture. Every single successful VBAC baby could come past a window on their way out, how would anyone know?

How many perineums go blue and look like they might tear when baby is crowning? XP said mine certainly did, right to my bum, yet i had only a tiny tear (not enough for a stitch) from where her unturned shoulders shot through. They used to cut them ALL just in case and the episiotomy rate was massive, now they know that most women stretch, despite the initial look of their perineum during crowning.

Did you have similar pains at the end of your previous pregnancies? is it worse when you have a braxton hicks contraction? Is is a hot radiating pain or a crampy aching pain? Have you had any bleeding? Is bubs happy enough when they listen to him? Do you feel "shocky" when you have it - sick, dizzy, clammy? Is it better after you've rested?

If it doesn't hurt more with BH, doesn't make you feel shocky, is worse with walking about and improves with rest and is a crampy ache it's probably just your pelvis relaxing as bubs head settles into it. If it makes you feel shocky, doesn't improve with rest and it a hot radiating pain that doesn't stop then you should get it checked out JIC.

Ultimately the choice to VBA2C is yours. Do you have a midwife or doula who will support you through your labour? Midwives who are experienced in VBAC deliveries will be able to talk you through what is normal and what is a warning sign.

I had quite uncomfortable and sometimes stabbing pains toward the end of my pregnancy with number 2. I think that some of it is due to the muscles probably not being as toned as they once were before number 1. If you can, try to rest a little. It sounds pretty normal to me oh and pushing those damn trolleys even without being pregnant puts strain on those muscles!! I remember trying to push an uncooperative trolley when pregnant and omg like 1000 times harder!!!

Thanks for that, i feel much better about it now. Yeah you're right i guess it'd be a different kind of pain and really distinctive if it were something to be concerned about.
    Thanks again

Hi Jade! I had a similar experience in late pg this time. When I asked my dr about it he said that I woudn't feel much if the uterine scar ruptured, but that there would be other signs like sudden bleeding, issues with my blood pressure, and other symptoms of shock... He said the pain was most probably muscular/stretching ligaments. I hope you can get some helpful answers from your care givers....
