Welcome Melissa!!!!WOW Benjamin was a good size!!!!!
Amanda-We have the full waterworks here! Its really quite upsetting to watch them cry!!!!And Gem does the whole bottom lip quiver!
Linda-Woohoo to our new moderator!!!!!Ouchie on your scar being all swollen!Mine was a bit stingy this morning.
Ellissa-hope you and Ben and Makon had a wonderful day yesterday!
Soph,Divvy, Nixie, Tracey, Louise, kristie.......how are all of you lovely ladies and your gorgeous bubs doing??
Its another stinking hot day again here....its just so muggy.Gemma is fast asleep again. The heat is starting to knock her around a bit.Well we bought a xmas tree yesterday. We decided to buy a new one for Gemma's first xmas and we'll keep it forever! My parents have done the same thing with us and then we take the tree when we move out of home.My old tree is falling to bits!!!!hehehehe 8-[ I'm not that old...really......
What gifts is eveyone buying their bubs for their 1st Christmas??
Leah's grandparents gave us a set of 2005 uncirculated set of Australian coins from the Mint yesterday to give to Leah when she is older to celebrate her birth year which I thought was really nice idea.
I hope everyone is enjoying their Sundays! It's really nice in Melb - I went for a long walk with Louis in the pram which settled and he's still in it asleep an hour and a half later - woohoo. He's been really unsettled lately and even gone back to some 2 1/2 hour feeds - grrr. At least this one looks to be at least 3 1/2 hours!
I have no idea what to buy him for christmas! Some presents family are buying are still practical (clock/lamp for his room) but from us - no idea. We have heaps of clothes and stuff. I figure though we'll have to buy him plenty over the first 12 months anyway so we'll just buy it as we go along.
I don't know how I'll go when Louis starts with the tears. The bottom lip gets me now! hehe
Kirsty - that's great about the christmas tree. For the first time we're buying a fresh one this year - woo hoo. I'm so excited. Christmas wasn't a big thing in our family but I want to make it any exciting thing in mine! Lots of decorations etc.
Welcome Melissa - hasn't the time flown! How's bubba going along??
Welcome Melissa and Benjamin! What a big boy for an early one! Looking forward to chatting with you.
Kirsty, Reilly does the same thing with his lip, breaks my heart! He does look adorable when he does it though. Yuck about the heat, thats why I moved from qld to melbourne, cant stand the humidity.
Hope your scar is feeling better Linda.
Amanda, I know a bit of it will be too old for him (and of course this christmas he will probably be more interested in eating wrapping paper, lol) but i have bought Reilly a little touch leap pad + books, a kick n whirl carnival, some bath toys, a mirror with a splash mat, a singing stars playgym, and some books, cds and baby einstein dvds. I also got some board games which will be for Reilly and Isaac, but of course Reilly will have to grow into them, lol.
Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! We went to the science works yesterday, its so nice to do stuff as a family!
Nixie - wow you are very generous with the Christmas pressies - lucky boys.
Kristie - Wow your Christmas tree will be lovely! I am very jealous.
Amanda - Lucie won't get very much for Christmas this year - partly because we will be travelling and she has heaps already and because we will be moving shortly afterwards. The less to move the better!
Kirsty - How is Gemma going now? Still sleepy?
Melissa - Wow what a big boy!!!!!!!!
Tracey - How are you going?
Hello Everyone else! I have a bit to catch up on. Lucie is still on a hunger strike. Grrrrrrrrrrrr
Well yesterday was wonderful! the weather was perfect we all looked beautiful(makon had a little suit made and a pink bow tie). Not sure where to start?! i got up at 5 am with a big guts ache, and kelly my maid of honor wake up to. we just sat around until 7 when we woke up bens sister, then we had showers and went to the hair dressers, came home had the make up done, we put on my dress which took about 30mins just to do up!( it is a tulle skirt which from one side to another would have been just under two meters, with a long train, Strapless bodess with lots of beading and a deep v to just above my bellybuttonwith a sheerbit over it.)
the ceremony was at bens mums house about 15 mins away.we had it in there front yard.there was about 60 people there. We also had makons naming ceremony. then drinks and nibbles there and the reception at a 'country club'(golf club) near by.
It really was a perfect day.
sorry no personals today
if any one wants to see piccys i can email them to you
Oh Elissa - congratulations!! i am so glad everything went so well for you! your dress sounds beautiful. i would love to see some photos if you wouldnt mind emailing me! Makon would have been so gorgeous in his little suit!!
Ellissa - I would love to see some photos. Email me at: sophieandmick@bigpond.com
It sounds like such a beautiful day - I am so glad it went well. Are you having a honeymoon at all?
Linda - Did Emma settle down a bit for you?
Well munchkin had 160ml this am. Phew - now I just hope she keeps that down! We were getting quite worried and I had visions of hospital again. She's had a really slow 4 days or so. I'll weigh her this morning, but I am not counting on much of a gain for the last week. I'm finding now that she's actually taking more when she IS sleepy, which is funny. If she is really awake she starts to get angry and fights the bottle and we have very little success. Anyway I'll leave her for at least 4 hours now, because she also took 60ml at 3.30am.
Oh and I was hugging the toilet bowl this morning 8-[ Kinda hoping it's just stress but AF is now 4 days late (although only second one since Lucie so could be all over the shop).
Soph - I am so glad that Lucie had such a good feed this morning. 8-[ whats going on with the bowl hugging? do you really think you could be pg? wow, although i guess your cycle would be pretty out of order for a while?
Linda - yes a relief that she had a big feed. If we end up in hospital again it's going to pretty much mean she gets tube fed again and neither of us want that. We are going to try and battle through, as long as she is putting on weight, and think about starting solids at 4 months in the hope she will be more excited about them than milk. Actually we have been a bit naughty and a few times she has licked a bit of mango. Is that really bad????
Ummmmm i could well be pg. Will do a test today anyway. If I am, then I am, but ideally now I'd like things to settle down with Lucie first and her feeding and wait until after we move. Oh well, soon find out!
good luck with the testing Soph! was Lucie premmie? i didnt know she was hospitalised before. do you mind me asking her history? i'm sure its no big deal about the mango - did she like it? i dont know anything yet about solids, but cant see why it would hurt at all. how cute anyway!
cant wait to hear the test results. good luck. sounds like Lucie is on the up and up now so thats good
Soph, OOOH at you maybe being preg again... How exciting!!!! Please let us know! Also YAY on Lucie taking 160ml...
I have let Indah have some icecream on hot days & she has had on a few occasions now some rice cereal... :-$ In bali babies are given solids almost immediately & there are plenty of healthy kids there!!!
I am gonna wrap all my presents today.
I have a friend who works at some Baby furniture & toy Import company (not really sure what they are to be honest!) But she called on friday night to tell me her garage was FULL of stuff the Co is getting rid of, for $5-$10, so I got.....
A thick quilt blanket that has elephants all over with crinkly ears, bell ears, squeaker ears etc, etc!!! So I have been using that on floor for Indah to lay on, it was $10, I bought 2 jigsaw puzzles for 1yr+ & ride on car thingy, a soft book, with matching DVD & toy, a princess pack for my niece, a plug in 150 games thingy for TV, these soft rubbery, smelly large blocks like Leggo, but not & it has 250pcs & 6 figurines, I got a shopping one which has a bus, taxi, 2 ladies a man & a shop front & all for $50!!!! YAY....
Maddy has so much stuff it's ridiculous.
I am putting the ride on car thingy away til Indah's 1st b'day! Also I have for her the leap pad thingy too with 3 books & she has some other fisher price thingys for Christmas!
My girls are gonna be so spoilt this year!!! It's really bad actually! ](*,) #-o
