I would say probably - Jack, Oliver, Olivia, Noah
In your opinion/personal experience, what do you think are the most common/popular names of recent times?
I would say probably - Jack, Oliver, Olivia, Noah
I have just been on the BDM NSW site

If you go to your state's bdm website; they usually have a link for most pop names. I know QLD, VIC and NSW have these.
Just google "VIC BDM" or "VIC BDM baby names"...fun!
When I named Riley I thought it was unusual LOL
At school we have heaps of Ella's in Kindy and Yr1 and a fair few Hannahs that age too. I remember my class 6 years after Haleys comet I had 3 Hayley's with various spellings!!
I would guess:
Addison
Aidan/Aiden
Ava
Caden/Kaden
Emma
Grace
Jack
Jacob
Jaden/Jayden/Jaiden
Lily
Madeline
Madison
Olivia
Ruby
Sophia
you know its funny Jack and Emma were supposedly the top names for 2006 I am yet to meet another Jack or a Emma in this age group I have met a few who are 5-6 yr age group
Riley has a friend who is 16 months called Jack, there are a lot at school who are obviously older.
My oldest is Jessica which was the top name after she was born and she didn't go to school with any other Jessicas until she got to high school.
NOOOOOO! Both my kids names are in there!
I didn't think Elizabeth was massively popular......
You can go to birth, deaths and marriages website and you can find out there. It goes way back too whichis really interesting!!
I know that Ella and Jack were the most popular - I have a niece and nephew named those!! All the ones the girls have mentioned are very popular. I read the HErald Sun most days and look at baby's names and I often see:
Sienna
Ava
Cooper
Jack
And just for interest's sake - the MOST popular middle name I have ever seen - Grace!! Though it is beautiful!
I was just going to say Isabella for a girl .... obviously ?![]()
lmao - I named Charlotte Charlotte cos it was not very common - BA-BAUW!!
Grace, Noah and Taylah I keep seeing....
MrsMac, I did the same thing. Well, kinda. I named Riley after my grandmother (an angel is humans clothes) and had considered its popularity and thought it might be on the rise, but next thing I new it was like top of the pops! Was a bit disappointed. Tee hee.
For me, the most common girls names I have come across lately are Sophie/Sophie and Emma. Just from what my friends/acquaintances have been doing. NOne of them have had boys, so don't really have an opinion on popular blue names. Cept for Riley...dang!!!
Yep they certainally are popular and people continue to call their kids the same names over and over!!!
To me popular doesn't mean bad, it means lots of people agree with your choice LOL
LOL, great view Mrs Mac.
Unfortunately lately, I have met lots of Lily's! I named her that thinking it was not so popular, but alas, it has become really popular in the last few yrs. It is still a beautiful name and suits her to a t!
Other names would be Aden, Jayden, Dylan
Ava, Grace, Ashley
We picked Cooper because it was different - now so many people are using it
Sienna and Jasmine are very popular as is William, Thomas, Harry
