    Hautes question

Just wondering if anyone else has had trouble with Haute's feeling "damp" when they are on?......

I recently bought one, after hearing good things here about them. It was branching out for me, 'cos I've had only Fuzzi Bunz up until now, that I'm very happy with.

I love the colour, fit, quality (ie. no pilling of microfibre) etc..... and it isn't leaking at the legs or anything, but after maybe only 45min-1hr DD's clothes feel damp around the bottom, like the PUL layer isn't totally waterproof......

I've been a little disappointed and can really only use this nappy when we are at home, 'cos often have to change it sooner than I should.

I probably should have rung darlings downunder to discuss my problem, but you know how time gets away and now its beyond the 60day guarantee.....

    Any thoughts???? Cheers.

    Hey Kym!

Yeh, Hautes do that. Apparently they aren't wet, as in won't leak, but they will feel 'damp' because the PUL is so breathable.
I hate it, and when you are out people go "Ewwww..she's all wet!" and I hate that! So we only use ours as well, for very short periods at home.

I have 2, and really don't like them but each to their own I guess!

Yep- same problem here too. That's when they actually hold the wee to feel like that. Usually they just leak out the leg! Hate them.

I don't have that problem with ours, unless it's really wet.

You have probably purchased a hautes "breathable". When I first bought some I bought one "breathable" & three normal ones. Only the hautes breathable leaves that feeling of wetness. The others are really good. I can use them over night, no problems. The Darlings Downunder website sell both.

    Hope this helps

Yep sounds like a Haute breathable. Are you using both inserts at the same time? Ideally you could boost it further with hemp or something else if you want to use it for longer periods but I don't mind the breathables, up here (Townsville) in summer they are awesome, her little bottom is so cool - it's like built in evapourative aircon and with both inserts I rarely have a problem with serious dampness it's more when we come out of aircon it feels really cool/damp
