Hi, just wondering of those of you whom found out:
when (weeks+days), gender, % given, if right/wrong, comments.
Here's mine:
18w6d, Girl, 75% sure, tried 3 times & only got a few sec glance.
Also, I'm going to get my obgyn to do a quick scan at 22w3d to see if he can double check. I've heard some people say it is harder to detect later though.
20 weeks - Boy - 100% certain, he showed everything he had a number of times even before I asked that I wanted to know bubs sex I thought I saw a little penis floating around LOL
We have been told at 18 weeks, 24weeks and 36 weeks, by three different sonographers, that it looks like a girl!! They can't be 100% sure though, which drives me CRAZY!! I think they only say that so they can't be sued. Apparently it is VERY obvious if it's a boy, so if ours comes out a boy, we're a bit worried!!! xo
one my friends had her scan at 20 weeks and got told she was having a girl, brought all the pink clothes, then two days before she had her baby had another scan and found out she was having a boy, so yes they can get it wrong.
we weren't given a % but it was pretty obvious it's a boy And the sonographer even said "that's a pretty clear view actually" so he sounded pretty certain. But looking at the DVD, there's no way it's something else being mistaken for his boy bits
Well, I was told at 23 weeks that I'm having a girl (the sonographer said she was pretty sure), then again at 28 weeks by a different sonographer said that he agreed with the 1st sonographers findings but didn't give me any guarantees and was annoyed that the 1st sonographer had told us she was pretty sure bubs was a girl. I still get a bit of a fear that maybe it's not a girl as I've bought all pink stuff and girly stuff.... oh well, I have a feeling they're right.
I'm with you Lee-Ann. At our 20wk scan, the sonographer said he was pretty sure it's a girl (she had her legs spread and he checked from 2 angles). Different place for 22wk scan (my GP didn't like the first place) and they agreed it looked to be a girl. Third scan (to check bub was still thriving) at 32wks (again at a different place) and they also agreed it was a girl.
I've bought tons of girly/pink clothing and bubby already gets called by 'her' name so I don't know how I'll cope if she were to appear as a boy! *L*
At 17 weeks there was no mistaking his boy bits - like Angels' Kynan our little man was not shy about showing off his boy bits!
The ultrasonographer (a mate of mine) even told me he was well endowed, LOL!!
Then we had our proper 19w morph scan, and above was confirmed by a different ultrasonographer. Again, there was no mistaking his little willy and scrotum!!
So, if it turns out to be a girl - I would be in shock, LOL!!
Hello,
Well we were told at 19 weeks that Ryley was 75% sure to be a girl. I knew he wasnt though in my heart- but yeah there you go!
They can definately be wrong
Hi, at our 18 week scan my obstetrician said he was 90% sure that we are having a baby girl. After a 45 minute ultrasound as the baby wouldn't co operate I am pretty confident that he's right, lol. I've started refering to our baby by the names that we are trying to decide on, lol.
At my 12 week nuchal scan I begged my sonographer to 'guess' what it was we were having. And she said she releuctantly said she guessed it was a boy. This was confirmed at my 19 week scan when we saw his boy bits clear as day on the screen, so at that stage they were 99% sure, but wouldnt say 100% JIC I suppose, LOL
From the beginning I had a very strong feeling/instinct that he was a boy anyway!
