    TMI alert...cervical mucous question...

I think I'm having crazy ridiculous amounts of CM. It ranges from super creamy to very sticky and globby. I'm about 9.5 weeks. Do I even have a mucous plug yet? Because at one point, I had such dense sticky discharge I thought I must have lost my plug and was about to have a miscarriage.

I know I'm neurotic - someone please tell me I'm not alone.

increased CM is normal for some woman.

I have had CM ++++++ since start of preg and even now i feel wet and blah down there all the time.

Dont stress enjoy the preg, good luck for a happy and healthy 9 months.

    Hi Chippy!!

You might a little neurotic but you are not alone!!! Our bodies go into over drive producing all sort of extra gushy stuff!!! Completley normal!! I remember freaking out the first time too- i thought my body should be holding everything in IYKWIM... but a kind friend who had had three kids informed me its quite the opposite!!

I hope that helped a little!!

    It's absolutely normal!
I've been so 'juicy' down there its not even funny. I have to sleep with undies and a liner on otherwise when I get up it (TMI!) will run down my leg. Yes, charming stuff! Ain't prengnacy grand

I get the increase in CM thing - I'm not freaked out about it generally - I've looked at it as a good sign since I got those two pink lines. It's just the super dense globby stuff that I'm worried about. But if you tell me not to worry, then i won't.

    Thanks.

    Chippy could it be thrush?

    Sorry for TMI...
CM can be like "cottage cheese" or so they say but i found it to be dense and globby... it's normally the first sign that im getting thrush.

Well i am around the same stage of pregnancy as you and i can say that it is similar for me. I am finding that i need a liner especially during the day when i am more active or else it goes straight thru the undies and onto the pants - not a great look to have a wet patch when you are 27 lol. Sometimes when i wipe (sorry if tmi but anything goes here) there are little creamy bits but not heaps unless i do a number 2 and i belive that is from all the straining lol.

If you are concerned see your carer. If it's not itchy, smelly or coloured you should be right

    hi

I have this too! It isnt HEAPS but it is much more than I would usually have. I look at it as a positive. I read somewhere that it isa very good sign of a sticky pregnancy

Sorry for the possible TMI - but let's face it wer'e talking about CM aren't we - if it is slightly off white - possibly yellowish tinge - could that be a reason to be concerned - no smell or other yukiness so really don't think it's Thrush - i just thought it could be from all the vitamins I'm taking and left over from a UTI that I took AB's for last week - either way not a nice feeling

Yeah, i was going to say- if the colour is a bit yuck- like a greeeny colour- then maybe be worried, i did have that in my last pregnancy which turned out to be an infection- if you are really worried- just make an appt with your GP/OB and they can do a test for you.

    I hope all is good!!

I have this aswell, When I was pg with DD I used to have handfuls of the stuff (sorry TMI) I certainly don't have it as much this time but I do get alot of blobby stuff. It ranges from being white to clear to a yellowy sort of colour, but as someone else said if it is not itchy or smelly it is all OK.
