    Hair removal after c-section

This may be a strange question, but what is the best method of hair removal around a scar, and how long do you have to wait to remove hair?

My c-section was 3 weeks ago, and I'm very hairy now... I won't be doing anything soon as my scar has a slight infection which I'm using ointment on, so def won't try anything till it's completely healed over, but just want to know for future reference when it is safe to wax again, or do people tend to just shave or use veet etc after having a c-section?

I wouldn't be removing hair from the area for a long while yet, especially if you have a slight infection. I shaved to start with and it got so itchy I won't be doing that again. I think waxing is the best but like I said I would try not to worry about being hairy for a while and wait. I personally wouldn't wax for 3 months after but that's just me. I hope your infection clears up soon.

i would go to a good waxing salon such as Brazilian Butterfly they should be able to help without having to wax directly over the area

I wax over my c section scar. I think I waited a few months before doing it though. My waxing lady was very careful and I would assist by tighening the surrounding skin so it wouldnt stretch.
I have just had my 2nd c section so will see how I go when the time comes to wax again.
I would say once it looks healed over and you feel confident have a go.

Definitely wait 3-4 months, I was told to just watch for ingrowns a bit more as they are painful around the scar

I used veet for the first 6 months then started waxing. It still hurts quite a bit when the therapist waxes over the scar though and it has been 15 months since my c-section. When you are brave enough to start waxing again I would recommend not having it done around your period, OUCH! Also, try to remember you have more than one "scar" - the external and then the internal which may still be sensitive to the pushing and pulling during the wax. Far out my scar is hurting now just thinking about it!!!
