18 DPO + BFN + No AF ... please help!!

Hi Everyone,

Hope someone can share their experience here or perhaps give me some advice ...

This is the 4th month that I have been ttc. I started charting in April and for the past two months, I had a massive dip with my bbt on the day that I (presumably) ovulated.

Today I am 18DPO and there is still no AF. I took a HPT this morning and it was BFN. I was taking EPO and Vitex up to ovulation and started taking false unicorn root since ovulation.

Was wondering whether anyone experienced delayed AF as a result of taking FUR and whether you think I should stop the FUR now and see if my AF would return ...

Please help .. I am really confused ...

The herbs issues aside, did anyone get a BFN on 18 DPO but turned out to be pregnant?

I went to see the GP today and outright she told me I am not pregnant, but I requested a blood test anyway ... and it so happened that the nurse who took my blood actually never got a BFP with HPT but ended up to be pregnant ...

Anyway, hope someone could shed some light or share some experience ... thanks in advance!

I don't know about the herbs but I have two friends who never got positives on home test and only every on blood test and one to till she was 2 weeks late to show on that and she was 6 weeks then so it is possible.

Secretmission your chart looks bl@@dy fantastic!!

I don't know about the FUR - never heard of it before sorry. But it is possible to go a long time without a positive HPT and still be pregnant. Plenty of the ladies on this site have mentioned that.

I guess you will have to wait on your blood test results. Its a shame your GP has that attitude, there is heaps about the whole TTC process that is a mystery (IMO)....

it looks like a pregnancy chart to me too! i would be stoked if my chart looked like that. it doesnt actually show any BD info though, but i presumed you timed it well.

I guess in comparison I probably haven't been trying for long, but it really is a killing process ...

On the Internet people kept saying that you should realistically get a BFP on the day you missed your period and if you don't, it's probably that you just simply missed your period. So I am getting worried that I have done something wrong so that my AF is not returning ...

Hopefully it's my month ... will get my blood test back on Friday.
Actually, my GP didn't order me a blood test (only thyroid), I was going to go with it, too, then I thought I'd better insist on this one ...

Chart looks good! My sister never got a +ve on HPT and she was a week late when she tested!

Your chart does look beautiful. Don't know anything at all about false unicorn root or how it affects your luteal phase. But I'd be expecting a BFP on those temperatures being up where they are. What brand HPT have you been using? I found Discover One Step early midstream tests to be a good chemist brand and Lullaby Conceptions midstream early pregnancy tests to be the best. And they should have a result on your pregnancy blood test by Wednesday, so I'd be ringing then!

I used "forelife" and also "confirm" ... and both BFN ... I will be sure to ring on Wed., hopefully they will release it!

I must say though I frequently have the period-like light cramps and the feeling of AF arriving, I would rush to the toilet and expect to see the AF. But it's been nothing so far ...

Today is 22 DPO and I am having really persistent cramp the whole night tonight ... just then when I went to the toilet, there is a tint of red when I wipe ... looks like it's not my month after all ....

Couldn't measure the temp this morning cause I had to get out earlier than usual but it seems much lower than usual ... now i am so depressed ... after so many days of elevated temps, I had my hopes up, and all of the sudden it's looking pretty bad

I have been crying for the past few hours because this is after all not my month ...
Got my period today. I have never had such a long delay for AF ... I guess, back to square one now.

So sorry, Secretmission Did you end up ringing for your blood test results yesterday? With a chart that looks like yours, I'd be suspecting you got very close and maybe the egg didn't implant this time. Fingers crossed for you for next cycle.

Its so hard isn't it. I remember when ttc Ash every month was just another disappointment and when Af is later than usual and your hopes get higher and higher the let down is much worse. You had a very good looking chart which is a good sign, you know your O. Try do something nice for yourself as a pick me up type thing.

I did ... then they refused to tell me the results over the phone ... so I nagged to no avail ...
I am going to see the doctor tomorrow to get the results maybe I have thyroid problem that's why the long delay!

Yeah ... I did a lot of research online and people mentioned all sorts of herbs to help the implantation. This is so hard and frustrating ... but thank you all for the support! Really need it ...
