I have just had DS at the drs today and he has really bad oral thrush. He has had NO sleep as he keeps crying in pain constantly and if he does manage to doze for a few seconds the crying starts again. He has had panadol and Nilstat drops, and cant have anymore panadol until at least 3.30am. Is there anything else i can do to help with the pain? We are both feeling exhausted

I have been told by a doctor to give nurofen 2 hours after the panadol if they are still in pain or have fever but then other people have said you shouldn't. TBH I have done it and it really helped.

mrsmac- I have been told to do that with the nurofen, and the hospital gave it to him like that once before, unfortunately i will have to wait till monday when the chemist is open again.
