Why is DD feeding and eating less these days?

I've been noticing a change in DD for the past 3 days. I don't quite know what and am a little concerned by this issue. DD has been feeding so much less these days not to even mention that she's eating less. I don't mind so much is she doesn't want to eat since formula is her main source of nutrients as she's under 12 months old. But she's hardly feeding her formula too... She weighs 20lbs and 5oz and she's only drinking 20oz to 23 oz (I'm pushing her to drink in order to keep it up to that amount). I know for one thing that she's not sick (her temperature is normal), she's a little cranky these days but no signs of any discomfort rather just a little more clingy than she was. Is it a growth spurt or what? Her schedule checkup appointment is on August 12... What should I do?

Hi Carmen, could she be teething?
My son is 7 1/2 months old and has just gone through a few days of not wanting to feed and it was his teeth.

I was going to say that she may be teething aswell. Have you tried some teething gel? And maybe some panadol or nurofen? Both of these will help her if she has teething pain. Apply teething gel 10min before her bottle and see if that helps.

The teething gel I found the best and was recommended by my clinic nurse is SM33.

Yep definately sounds like teething. My little one is getting through the top two & he's doing the same thing. He did the same when his bottom two came through too.
Its normal for them to eat less when they're teething so don't worry too much. See if you can feel anything under her gums.

I hope it's teething too. I guess it's about time. As of now, she's still got none of them. I felt her gums and haven't noticed any teeth. WHen the teeth are cutting through, are they visible? I thought of giving her some teething gel but am unsure if I should do so since I'm not quite sure if she's teething.

If they're starting to cut through the gum will feel hard and a bit swolen you'll definately feel when they've eached the surface, they're quite sharp.
I don't think giving her teething gel would harm her though I haven't found it to be very effective - the only thing that helps DS is panadol.

Hmm, I guess I should wait a bit then since I still don't feel anything on her gums yet. Boy, it's sure taking its time to cut through... ARGH!
