day sleeps

I'm having issues keeping dd asleep during the day once she is settled and would love some tips. she sleeps fine in the car or in her pram if we are out at the shops, or out walking, although generally she will wake up as soon as we get back home. if i settle her and wrap her, she will go in the cot or bassinet but wake after 10 or so minutes. i've tried the sling, and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. often i end up feeding her back to sleep and letting her sleep on me, which if she isn't happy to go in the sling, means i can't get on with anything.
we have no issues at night - she has her last feed at 9 and will pretty much go straight down, same after night feed - the longest it takes to settle her is half hour. i've tried doing the same things in the day but with no success.

so any ideas what the issue is with day sleeps? and any tips?

Well sounds like she has her days and nights worked out, so that's great! It might simply be a training opportunity to teach her that its ok to go to sleep without any motion iykwim. I think its a great idea continuing to wrap her like you do. So if you are comfy with the following suggestion, you could teach her to settle on her own by having a daytime routine for naps - ie with my DD#1 we had rough (but not too rough ) nap 'times' and we'd do nappy change, wrap and cuddle then in to her bassinet. Then if she complained, we'd leave her for 5 or so minutes (as long as she didn't get distressed) and then go back in, do checks for wind, nappy, hot/cold, re-wrapping, then quick cuddle and back to bed. We persisted with this until she realised that she was indeed a clever sausage and could fall asleep on her own It took longer with DD#2 but we remained persistent and consistent so she learnt our (as in us and her) "rhythm". With both our girls we created the rhythms through their routines and soon enough they learnt "the lyrics & tune".
