Red face Pregnancy tiredness / MS comes and goes?

    Hi All,

My wife is currently about 7 weeks pregnant and for about the past couple of weeks has been experiencing all the usual symptoms.... tiredness, nausea, frequent toilet breaks, etc. However. the last couple of days she has not been nearly as tired and has had no nausea... but still the frequent toilet breaks.

Back in April she has a miscarriage at 7 weeks and, I for one and a little concerned that the sudden change in some symptoms is not necessarily a good thing (although she thinks it's great) and is a sign of things going bad?

So has anyone else also found that the tiredness and nausea is something that does come and go and come back again? Is it normal to have "good days" in amongst the bad?

    Thanks all.

    Jason

That sounds perfectly normal to me I had nausea on and off some days worse than others and other days hardly none (although i pretty much had it 24/7 most days!!!)
Some women get no nausea at all and all is still fine. If concerned though, best to see the GP for a check up but it's pretty normal to feel different on and off.
I'm tired some days more than others too.
Each pregnancy is usually different also and if you've had a miscarriage it's normal for you to be so concerned.

Good luck to you and your wife

Perfectly normal, in my first pregnancy the only symptoms i had were breast tenderness and tiredness but they both went away for weeks and would come back for weeks.
Congarts on your bub2b and good luck.

My first trimester symptoms come and go as well. There would be a few days where they would die down and then they would come back strong again. I had had previous miscarriages so it kinda freaked me out as well, but it is very normal.

I hope all goes well for you.

Sounds perfectly normal to me as well. With my pregnancies, I seem to be exhausted, then fine, then exhausted for months. Some days (or even a week at a time) I am 'normal' (like I'm not pregnant) then other days it is downright awful with MS, tiredness, being cranky etc.

After the miscarriage it will be difficult and you are likely to worry, but the odds are good that in 33 weeks or so you will be holding your son or daughter. Just be supportive of your wife!! She knows her body the best so will be the best judge of any problems if there are any!

    Good luck!!

    Hey there,

Sorry you had to experience the pain of a m/c. My cousin m/c at 7wks and is now nearing the magical 12wk mark... she is trying not to stress about it, but its easier said than done isn't it!!!

I just wanted to say that I had quite bad m/s til about 8wks, when all of a sudden it stopped. I asked my Obs because I was worried about what it meant too, she said it is perfectly normal.

Try not to let your wife worry too much

I know where you are at right now. I had a history of m/c and I found at exactly the same point your wife is at my symptoms started to disappear. I was so sure it was the beginning of the end again. It wasn't. Basically my 1st tri continued on with very few symptoms at all. I went on to deliver a healthy baby boy. Try not to worry.
