Both are quite different types of carrier, a HAB is a stretchy wrap, whereas a Bubba Moe is a heavily padded modified ring sling (buckle sling).

TBH, if you are considering a single shouldered sling, an unpadded ring sling is a much better choice than a Bubba Moe - Bear Hug Baby are an Australian company that make great quality but inexpensive ring slings. Or google Maya Wrap, they make a great ring sling with a lightly padded shoulder. Because of the heavy rail padding and buckle, a Bubba Moe (Babyrock is another similar style) is not as adjustable as a ring sling, the rails cannot be adjusted independently to the body (pouch). So it is harder to get bubs as snugly positioned, they tend to slump in the large pouch of the carrier and the top rail is not able to be tightened enough to prevent bubs from leaning. The heavy padding is bulky and makes it harder for bubs to sit in a correct position when upright (with knees higher than bum). They also tend to engulf newborns, and can't be tightened enough on a smaller mum so that a newborn in cradle position isn't swinging around near her waist (which will cause a lot of stress on the shoulders and back). Bubba Moes and the like do work wonderfully well for some people, but a carrier is only as good as its adjustability, and these types of carriers are not very flexible in that regard.

The advantage of a stretchy wrap (BTW you can make a HAB style wrap very inexpensively from cotton jersey) is versatility (different wrapping styles), comfort for long carries, and true handsfree carrying. They are wonderful for newborns, especially if you have a bub who wants to be carried all day. Stretchy wraps are not so good for heavier bubs, which is where a more supportive woven wrap is a wonderful thing. You can breastfeed in a wrap, but it does take a practice and positioning. Not all mums/babies find it easy to feed in carriers, it depends on factors like baby size and breast size how easy you'll find it. The main disadvantage of wraps are that they are not quick to tie, so they are not as suitable for quick on-and-off carries as a ring sling. But they do become easier and quicker with practice.

A ring sling is generally much easier to breastfeed in than a wrap, especially if your bub is happy to be carried in cradle position (some babies prefer being upright, especially reflux and windy bubs). It is also great for quickly popping on and off, so is brilliant for the shops and quick trips. It is not so great for long carries (even the most comfortable one shouldered carrier creates some uneven pressure on your back), and depending on the shoulder style, some find that there is some restriction of arm movement (especially with a gathered shoulder which cups over the top of the arm).

It makes no difference with a wrap or unpadded ring sling (which is very adjustable) how big the baby is, or how big mum is. Both are very adjustable, so are good choices for parents of different sizes or parents who are smaller or larger than average.

I would definitely go for the stretchy wrap!
I have a wrap and it is SO awesome. My bub loves it in there. She will be alseep about 10 mins after I put her in!
Mine is a DIY wrap, I spent $10 at spotlight and because of the width of the material, I got 3 wraps out of it! I didn't even have to sew anything!!!

Also with a stretchy wrap you can tie it on you and pop bub's in and out. you don't have to retie all the time (unless it has become too stretchy, but the you just tighten it!)

If you can't tell... I love my stetchy wrap. I think next baby I will invest in a prettier one!!!
I have a sling like a Bubba Moe, and the thing that i noticed was it was SUPER comfy for about 30 mins, but anything after that it started to hurt my shoulder, neck and back. It was great for short periods of time. But if I wanted to have her on me for ages, it wasn't good.
