can you see what I can see? Is this BFP?

I'm one day late, maybe, for AF (not totally sure if it was due yesterday or today, and anyway last month I was like a week late, so I wasn't expecting to be on time particularly anyway), but I thought I'd test, rather than wait to see if AF arrives.

And I think I can see a very pale 2nd line.

    Can you see it?

This is an Pregnow HPT. In previous tests I've not seen anything at all where I can now see something.

Do you think this is a BFP? I'm so excited!

Oh, sorry, I didn't realise. I'll do that then (once I figure out the gallery thing).

OK, I've put the link to the image back (still as a URL, which I deduce is within the rules - very sorry for getting that wrong earlier), because I can't figure out how to upload something to the gallery.

Can someone please point me to the instructions for that? I can't even find it in the FAQ. I think my excitement about this has dissolved my brain, that I can't figure this out...

Sorry darl can't help with the uploading thing but I think the rule is - if you can see the line holding the test at arms length its a BFP!!! It looks like a line to me
    All the best

    I'm sooooo excited!

So glad that you ladies can see what I see.

Does anyone know the probability of miscarriage for pregnancies that are detected really early. I've been all over the web and found all different statistics, but I don't know how many of them are counting these really sensitive HPTs that detect earlier than was originally possible.

In other words, I don't know whether I should let myself be totally excited about this, or try not to get my hopes up too high lest the disappointment be shattering if it doesn't continue.

Yes I can definately see the second line.... Congrats!

Can I just suggest one thing though, I've read a few bad posts on here about the pregnow giving false positives, yes false POSITIVES. Can you get a different brand & test with that, I'd hate for you to get excited (which is totally natural & we all do the same thing) just to find it was false.

There are heaps of different types to try but try to get a sensitive one if you choose to try a diff brand.

I just wanted to warn you.

I hope its a true positive for you though... fingers crossed

    I can see it!

I got a BFP at 3 weeks after LMP. 1 week before AF was due & it was a faint BFP. I think I used the same brand as you. Did the 2nd one the next day, then I think I got a One Step? one. It was in a pinky purpley coloured box & it was definetely BFP.

The early detection & faint line resulted in my DS.

I'd do what Danielle said too, I have known ppl to get multiple false positives with pregnow. Better to be safe than sorry.
    But hopefully it's a bfp!!

It is a line but it is a very faint one for around 4 weeks. Whenever I got faint lines like that it usually meant early loss (I used a different brand though). Test again and if you still get a faint positive head off and get a BT to check the numbers. Best of luck for a darker line next time you test.

Thanks for the warning, I appreciate it.

I have one Clearblue Digital test left in a packet from when AF was a week late the other month. Do you know whether that one is sensitive enough to be worth trying now.

It says on the instructions that it can be used at any time of the day, from the day AF is due. If that is to believed (I don't know), I should be able to try it now.

The previous test with Pregnow was with my FMU this morning.

It should be OK to use now.
IME if HCG is there, its there. Ive used alot of different brands & haven't really worried too much about the FMU, or late LMP & I've never had one that was wrong.

I did once have a very faint line at 9 weeks & m/c at 12 weeks though.

If I were you I wouldn't drink or go to the loo for a few hrs and then do the Clearblue test, or wait til the morning.
    Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I waited 3 hours after the last drink and did the Clearblue test, sure that it wouldn't say anything good, because of it being the middle of the day and the other line being so faint.

But Clearblue gives me another BFP! In so many words: "pregnant".

I can't believe it! This is amazing. Surely the chances of two different tests giving false positive are really really small.

I just wish this test would display the result for long enough for me to show my partner when he gets home, as he'll believe it more than a pale pink line, for sure. But apparently the result only shows for an hour, so the photo I took will have to do.

Could see the line on your first test, very faint but I can clearly see it. Glad clearblue says the same. it should darken over the next few days so you can keep them for longer. Congratulations.
