Walking around in cot before sleep

Hi all,
DD is 13 months old and when I put her down to sleep she gets straight up and walks around her cot (even in her gro-bag). Eventually she tires and drops off to sleep in whatever position she ends up in. That's all fine for now, but I'm curious as to how that will go when I put her in a big bed. It would be nice to tuck her under the covers and send her off to sleep, but she's just so active that I can't imagine this happening. Any stories about how others have gone with the transition? I'm not in a hurry to change her into a big bed yet, just interested. I can imagine her walking around her room and dropping to sleep somewhere on the floor!

Sorry I can't offer any possible solutions. Just wanted to say that Oskar does this too sometimes. I actually find it amusing how they can possibly move as well as they do in grobags!! He seems to be quite mobile in his!

Lexie is the same. She is nearly two and she has several cot dancing parties a night, LOL!

That said, both Olivia and Charlie were the same.

They both moved to big beds late (just after 3rd b'day) by which stage the cot dancing had finished, as well as a MUCH shorter day time rest, so by bedtime, they're knackered, so very happy to be tucked up.

(Both Olivia and Charlie get out of bed at night to make the odd trip to the loo and I am amazed and grateful that they "get" that they have to snuggle back down again.)

Thanks for the advice ladies. I am getting more confident that DD will eventually get it! She has now started to lie down in the cot when I put her to bed, rather than jumping straight up to go for a walk! It might not be that long before I can tuck her under the covers!
