Mummies and daddies to 3 or more girls!!

Now we know our 3rd Princess is on the way...HELP!!!!

I never dreamed of having 3 little bundles of pink to look after....

Whats it like?

They will all be close in age....at birth Chelsea will be 25.5 months, Jasmine 14.5 months...and new bubby!!

Tell me all the good things...and the bad too!

I only have 1 sister and she is 10.5 years older then me...so nothing to compare with!!!

just wanted to say congrats!! Im not much help but I am hoping to have a third little princess. I probably won't only because I want to!! I hope they grow up to be great friends!! I do know about 4 families with three girls and Im insanely jealous!!

Kim, I am the oldest of three girls, although we were more spaced out. I think how well we got along tended to change at different ages, but mostly two of us would be "Friends" and one on the outer (it was never the same two though - it was like a roster LOL). I think in a lot of ways all being the same the gender made things easier for us, and for mum and dad, and we all get along well now, although we don't live near each other.

So I suppose the good things would be - we get along well, we could share clothes, there was no problem with bedroom sharing at any age as we were all girls, we could share things. The bad things would be - lots of hormones when we were all teenagers, poor Dad!!

I think it's wonderful that you are having 3 girls. I can understand your concern, I would probably feel the same way if I was expecting a third boy, but you know what to do with girls now, so I think you will be fine. You are all going to make a really great family.

Well Kim you know i have my three princess's and yes they are lots of fun...

But yeah all so very different... Annika is so more tombyish then Teleah.. Teleah def is a princess yuck to bugs etc....
Annika brings me fun stuff all the time..

So i get atm Flowers from Teleah an Bugs from Annika...

and Mj not quite sure...

but i wouldnt have it any other way

Oh but not looking forward to the teenage years... 4 hormal women in one house... My poor (future) partner

LOL Tigger......DH isnt the 'manly' type either....so i think thats why we have been given girls....to show his feminine side :P

Beatrix...Chelsea is def my tomboy...she is very rough and tumbles...JAsmine is the Princess that will be very girly...and BubleBee...well with 2 big sisters.....who knows!!

I have 3 girls under 4. I love it....im a girly girl myself (i know youve mentioned that your not really). I love hair, makeup, clothes, rings, bling, bling, sparkles, etc etc. Im the biggest girl of all.....people often say to me they cannot imagine me with a little boy - i tend to agree with that statement.....as for my husband. He LURVES his 3 girls. He loves being the only male in the house (). BUT, i know he does pine for a boy. He was outside with DD#1 on the weekend kicking around the footy, and it just wasnt interesting her, she wasnt bothered. But in saying that, you dont just go for another, and another , and another for the sake of having a boy. We just wouldnt get there KWIM ??

So back to your question, whats it like having 3 or more girls?.....
*theres lots of pink
*theres lots of fairy stuff
*theres lots of dresses
*theres lots of dollys
*theres lots of prams
*oh, did i mention lots of pink???
*theres a bit of screaming
*theres lots of hair !!!! (and not just on the heads....on the floor i mean).


Im also one of 4 girls...im the oldest. We fought like b*tches.....we had MASSIVE cat fights....my mum had 4 of us under 6yrs of age. But you know what, i had the best upbrining, and i can honestly say now, my 3 sisters are my best friends. .......
DH said on the weekend he would like to go for #4.....im still unsure about it. I know, know, know i will end up with another girl. Gender swaying or not, i just know it.

For me, if i ever hear someone having 3 or more boys i think 'oh, thats nice'.....but when i hear of someone having 3 or more girls i go 'ahhhh now thats lovely'...but thats just me.

You, along with your 3 girls will be friends for life......seriously......

Aw mbear you post was so lovely....you definately have shown the strong bond a mother can have for her 3 girls. I hope i can to be a good mum like that.

As you mentioned...im far from a girly girly mum....but in saying that..my girls are always in pink and always will be (well until they stop letting me choose their clothes!) i love buying them dolls and pretty girly things.

In the #4 department....hmmmm i know what you mean.....and i still cant see myself with 3 girls...and i sure dont want to think of 4 girls.....

Ill have 3 under 3....(but i say 3 under 2 cos Chelsea will only be a month over 2...LOL

No doubt i will be seeking you out when the times are rough.....so be prepared!!!

Congratulations on your pregnancy, and another darling princess on the way.
I have 5 kids boy 14, boy twin 5, girl twin 5, girl almost 4 and girl almost 2, I am expecting our next suprise little bundle in Feb. It was a bit of an accident on my part, but think this is going to be a girl as well, conceived on day 9 of 28 day cycle, ooops!
Back to the original question, about having 3 girls in the house, they are sweet sometimes and as in previous posts, there is lots of pink in the house and girly activities happening, but they do fight terrible, and already argue about clothes.
My poor 5 year old boy is a bit hen pecked!!!
Hoping I'll even up the numbers a bit with this baby, but I will be still happy if its another princess, just ask me again when they are all teenagers and have pmt at the same time!

There are 3 girls & 1 boy in my family. My parent's biggest issue now we're grown up is paying for & organising weddings!!! Mine was in 2000, but the other two are getting married in Aug 2009 & May 2010 - lots of fun organising two close together!

Its really interesting reading this thread. I was going to put up a new one saying is it just me or is there loads of families with 2 or more girls. Reason for this is my DH and I are expecting dd #2. She will be the 11th great grand daughter for his grandparents and no boys. All of them have 2 girls each. I was a little disappointed having another girl initially but have warmed to it. And reading this has just made me more excited and worry less. I suppose my sister and I had nearly 6 years between us and werent too close growing up. I think the 19 month age gap will be great! And if we go for #3 and its a girl....I'm sure it will be fine

There are 10.5 yrs between me and my sister so we were never close at all...

I can seee my 2 now have this unique bond...its gorgeous to watch

I remember growing up the people next to us had 3 girls.
I was the same age as the middle one & I can tell you now, their Dad nearly lived in his shed!!!
We'd here him coming out of the house a few times a day off to the shed muttering 'bloody women!' under his breath. Other times he was yelling it!
DH worked with a bloke that had 5 daughters. 5 babies & no blue in sight!

They are all so different though. I only have the 2, but they are very different.
DD1 is the princess.
DD2 is rough & tumble, but gets girly copying Sister. I think she'll be a bit of a tom boy.

They are fun. We only had the 2 girls for a while & as badly as I wanted a boy I love having the girls together. They aren't real close in age & they fight like cats & dogs, but they are already very close. There are 6 years between my sister & I & I think thats to far. She annoys me. 18 year olds aren't the most mature or compassionate, but she takes spoilt brat to a whole new level!
