i got a bargain baby hammock....

hi all. i got a bargain baby hammock its second hand but looks brand new for 150 bucks including the stand!! the thing is though.... it says to only use it under supervision.. the thing is i was planning on putting baby in it over night and sleep in the other room. is this too dangerous? how do you girls use your hammocks?? do you use it only for day sleeps? or put it in your room with you?? plus, is it hard to then transition them to a cot when they outgrow their hammock?

Hollo is it an Amby? I am not sure but I have read that Ambys are great for overnight use

nah its a Miyo. would there be that much of a difference between brands?

I'd say like anything, babies need constant supervision but we are planning on using ours in our bedroom so baby will be close by.

well i dont think i was ripped off... maybe i was now that you say that. did you get the miyo with stand? cause i think the hammock and stand are usually about 150 each... plus ebay was too much hassle for me cause of postage etc. and the store offers a buy back so if i return it by june next year (after i have used it) they will give me 60 bucks for it and 40 bucks if returned by december.

when i googled it it said 'to use with adult supervision'.

We used our amby overnight sometimes.

Yep mine came complete with stand aswell. Not sure of the brand its a no name brand!
If you search on ebay you can see the lady who sells them. shows pics of a baby in pink bonds suit lying in it. she is on the gold coast so i was able to pick it up from her. no postage paid.

I think you should be fine. a baby hammock is a hammock they are all the same really.
