Hi, not sure if there is a thread about this or not (i'm new lol) But I am wondering if Insomnia & Early Pregnancy is commen?
My last pregnancys I couldn't get enough sleep & only has insomnia in the last few weeks on the last tri.
But this pregnancy I just can not sleep, I am up till 3-4am each day & then up by 6am with my toddler I am just not tired. But I am exhausted & drained as I am running after the kids all day then up all night.
Anyone else has this in there 1st tri??
Any ideas? Thanks.

I hear ya hun! I haven't slept a whole night through since I fell pg. I'm trying to get sleep but I just seem to not be able to drop off. Then when I do, I'm awake 2hrs later for a loo break, or cuz DH is snoring! Then I can't get back to sleep...
Someone told me it was my body's way of preparing me for when baby is born... whatever!!!
I think we just need to try and rest...
yeh I get the whole its ya body pre paring you for the nightly feeds but thats not gonna happen till 36wks from now LOL Gimmee sleeeeeep! & I dont need to be pre pared I Have 3 kids & one still gets up during the night for a feed so I am ready lol.
Snoring from hubby makes it hard for me too, esp as he sleeps during the day I cant rest when my toddler naps as his snoring keeps me awake, I am just at a no win situation.
Ask your doc or midwife (if you're seeing one yet) for some sedatives. I found they were the only thing that worked when I was having trouble sleeping.
As for running around after the other kids, I hear you girl I hear you lol.

I Know exactly how you feel... With number 1 i had about a week of waking at odd hours of the night and being full of energy i wanted to clean the house or something stupid... This time, since right on 4 weeks i have woke every night at 3 am and then cant get back to sleep.. By the time i can go off again my husbands alarm goes off at 5:15, then my 2 yo wakes at 6.... My 5pm I am exhausted!!! I am hopeful it will pass...
hang in there, I hope we get a good nights sleep soon!!!

The Healing Touch Of Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese practice that works with different sized needles usually very thin and made out of solid stainless steel, to stimulate your nerves and provide relief fast. Using acupuncture for insomnia is a common practice with very successful outcome.
When you use acupuncture for insomnia treatment you need to commit the amount of sessions indicated by the acupuncturist because even thought acupuncture is not habit forming, it may take a few sessions for the sleep pattern induced through acupuncture to be observed by your system.
Helpful Tips
Using natural treatments such as acupuncture for insomnia will help you stay healthy and cure your existing disorder without any side effects. There may also be some herbal teas and massage therapies involved along with the acupuncture and insomnia treatment in order for it to take effect faster and provide you with a good night’s sleep as soon as possible.
Sleep is the most important thing for your body and mind to recharge itself, therefore, you must do everything in your power to provide yourself with the sleep required every night naturally and in a healthy manner. Insomnia does not only affect you but when left untreated it will affect your family, friends and work.

Sleep disorder during pregnancy is not good to you. Just eat healthy foods and have a regular exercise everyday, also avoid being stress because it also can affect your sleep.
