Grubi - WTG on weight loss and feeling good about yourself. Its a good feeling hery My size 11 jeans are slipping off me, i suspect im size 9 now!!! I was about size 10 before preg...going shopping on tues i think to buy more clothes that fit! Last time i weighed myself i was back down to 60kgs...i think ill be lighter than that now.
Isabell seems to be starting to crawl of some sort. When she is on her tummy she seems to move forward, and back wards, kinda commando crawling and inching. Ive also noticed her trying to get her knees under herself to kinda get in the crawling possi iykwim
B_P: Wyatt seems to be doing the same thing. Granted he'll only do it when he's got no pants on. He only goes backwards at the moment. But tries to get knees up under him self. Will try and get photo and post, it looks rather funny...
Well Just thought I would let you all know if today stops raining, then we will go out and buy some vegies for Wyatt to try. I have noticed in last week he has been watching everyone else eat. So it might be time.
Also when Wyatt had no pants on he can also roll. He does it all the time now, and as soon as I get up to put his nappy in the diper bin, he is on his tummy. Granted I only put him on the floor.
Anyway got the aftermoth of cleaning up. DH is sick he was up since 2am coughing at 3:20am he got up and slept on lounge. So tissues are everywhere along with blankets and pillows. Better go and get it done some I can come back on later.
Weird, Benjamin just went to sleep without his dummy!
He had a bottle (a full one no less), put him up on my shoulder to burp, he did a couple, then was nice and still, I checked and his eyes were still open but he was definitely drowsy, so I popped him into bed (on his tummy as normal), he turned his head from side to side a couple of times, then dropped off, then stirred, repeated the head turning, made some slurpy noises, and went to sleep.
not gonna count bok boks though, I imagine as soon as I get in my bath (which is running) he'll wake for the dummy....but thats ok...if we can get him to drop off in bed sometimes without it, we might get somewhere, he can fall asleep in the car without it, and I think he's done it in the pram.
I'm not gonna push push push it, I'll encourage it, but if he needs it, he needs it!
he had an hour and a half sleep without it, thats not too bad, will see how the arvo goes, but right now we are heading off as we have a billion things to do!
BW maybe operation dummy removal got through, but was bad timing with him being sick. Lets hope it continues.
I know Greer is having trouble self settling ATM due to being sick. The screaming is killing me, I know she is in pain.
Got to go, trying to get her off to sleep and the eyes have closed so going to try settling in the cot.
Hi guys, he fell asleep on me at the dr surgery without his dummy, and dozed off in the car a couple of times without it too, but settled tonight with it...
not to worry though
Grubi - I hear ya. Liam has a cold and isn't as good at getting himself settled. DH even Emailled me at work today to ask me to pick up lunch on the way home as he hadn't been able to put Liam down all morning because he just wanted cuddles. He's a good DH... I managed to put Liam to sleep when I came home for lunch and he stayed that way for about an hour...
Sarah - Liam's trying to move around too now. He does best in the cot as he uses the side rungs like a ladder and hoists himself along! We found him using his index finger poking at the mobile thingy tonight - which was so cute (we think he was trying to figure out how to turn the music on!). We'll have to remove the mobile soon as he'll start to reach the stuff before long!
Nettie: Wyatt doesn't move in his cot, he might worm his way out of his wrap, but he's sorta straight. It's only on the floor with no pants on that he can sort of get around.
BW: I would rather remove a dummy then fingers. I have noticed when Wyatt gets board he starts to suck 2 fingers. I have upload a photo. BAD BABY... I am just removing them every time I see them in there, and distracting him.
Grubi: Poor little Greer. I am so glad Wyatt Alise and Landon are over the colds. We have sniffells but only in morning then all clear. I feel sorry for her and you. It is not vice to have when you are so little.
Well we are off to walk Dista(alise) to school this morning, to find out if Playgroup is on. Then home to build a chook pen I won off ebay, it arrived yesterday. I want to see if I need more or if it is big enough.
Grubi That's great about your weight loss, I can slowly feel mine creeping up, so I am going to start watching what I eat a lot more. Poor Greer, hope she gets better soon. Butterfly_Princess I didn't know women's clothes came in odd numbers (ie 9's, 11's) I would be happy to get down to 65kg. By the sounds of things Isabelle may be crawling soon. sarah Oliver has been watching everything we eat too, but he still tries to just suck his food off the spoon, can't wait for him to open his mouth properly as feeding time will probably get a little less messy. I really don't care if Oliver has a dummy or fingers/thumb, will deal with the issue of getting him to sleep without one or the other later. Love the new pics of Wyatt though, very cute BabyWrangler woohoo to BJ going to sleep without his dummy, Oliver will quite often fall asleep in the car without his. I carried him around shopping the other day and he stayed asleep in my arms and he sucked his thumb nearly the whole time, it was so cute. Nettie it's hard when they have colds and all they want is cuddles, especially if you are the only one home, DH was lucky that you get to go home for lunch, if that was me I would have been stuck and more than likely would have had to resort to a Maccas drive through on my way to collect Jordan from school
Sharon Every now and then I will find a shop that has the odd sizes, if not then i get a size 10...its mainly jeans that i need in a size 9...just jeans, jay jays, jeans west all do odd sizes
Holy ****
My little boyo slept from 6:45pm til 5:15am, then after putting his dummy back in, went through til 7:15am.
I'm sure it was a one off, and it won't happen again, but I'm still pretty pleased with him!!!
We were out for punch yesterday and he was a little star as normal, slept in the car on the way, had a little play there, slept while we had lunch, played while we played scrabble, then slept in the car on the way home, and had a little nap in his cot when we got home, then bedtime about half an hour later cause DH was due home so he stayed up (and he'd had a little cat nap later than normal).
His teeth seem to be bugging him a little too, wouldnt let me put the spoon in his mouth last night, but he had lots of milk so thats ok!
Sharon: Benjamin sucks his thumb sometimes too, and you're right....tooo cute!
Sarah: I hope the get together goes well!
B_P: Im with Sharon...I thought womens clothes were all even...and as for the size 10 bit...thats half of me!!!
Grubi: Hows Greer?? I hope shes on the mend!
To everyone else, I'll pop back later for more personals but Hi for now!!!
Well we had our meet and greet yesterday, and it was great to final put a face to the name. Sam was lovely. Lexi, she is just so tiny, and doing so much. Wyatt is almost the same size as her, and over powers her in the weight division, by almost a 1/2 a kg. It was just the 2 of us, and we chatted for about an hour then Sam had to rush home to meet builders. My first DS#1 ran a muck, and join in on the home daycares activities which were giong on in library. When they were all starting to leave he even decided he would go with them. Till I called him back. We got each other cell number, so we can arrange another meet and greet. We didn't really say when so probley try in 2-3 weeks.
It's good to know I am not the only one on here trying to renovate. I am so ashamed of my kitchen and bathrooms at the moment I'm at the point were I wont have new people over. But all will be fixed soon, as I have ordered new windows to be made, then hopefully they will be done in next 2 weeks and I can order my new kitchen. DH is a farmer and a tight bum, so he is going to get a bunning kitchen. They look wonderful dont get me wrong, but if he does it. It will NEVER be finished before my parents come down for my DD 10th Birthday the first week November.
Well I better be off now. I will stop back in later.
Wow guys, we're getting to be as quiet as the other thread!
No luck with sleeping through 2 nights in a row in this house (not that I expected it!)
But on the bright side, Benjamin is asleep in his grobag with is arms out (ok, so he's laying on his tummy and they are tucked under him....but he's not wrapped!!!). I plonked him in his cot with just his grobag on and his dummy, and after 45 minutes of talking and general clowning around, he lost it and started to cry...had a snuggle on the rocking chair for a minute, then put him in on his hands and didn't hear another sound, so we'll see!
I got a new mobile phone a few weeks ago, and though it was unlocked from the network we bought it from, it was rooted....that has turned into a HUGE fight with 3...
Then I ended up signing up to virgin and getting one through them, and its now (after just 2 days) showing signs of early life failure, so I have to go pick up ANOTHER one today....3rd time lucky....I'm sick of putting my contacts back in!
BW: you are so right, it's dead quite in here. It looks like you and I at the moment/last few days. But its the weekend 2morro and I am off to farm to let kids breath fresh air and sort of spend time with DH, which is no doubt when the chatter will start.
WOOOHOOO!!
My Brother got engaged last night!!!
He has been previously married but his B**CH of an ex wife cheated on him, then got a moving van when he was at work one day and emptied the house....left his poor dog all alone in an empty house with nothing but my bro's tv, and a bean bag....grrrr!!
Anyway, he's been seeing this lovely girl for a while and they got engaged last night!
It was no surprise to any of us, we knew it was gonna happen eventually, just didn't know when!
Am very excited!
Oh and just to make this a baby related post, Benjamin had broccoli last night and seemed to enjoy it...there were some odd faces but I think thats cause broccoli is a bit stringy compared to sweet potato and pumpkin....he did really well.
