I finally got around to making my first carrier - it's a wrap style mei-tai based on the BBO (ball baby overall) but I modified the shoulder straps and added a pleat.
It's made of red duckcloth with a panel of kimono silk, and is lovely and soft and cushy and comfy already. Wore it for about 15 minutes when it was finished and can't wait to give it a proper breaking in!!
It got its first outing today and man is it comfy... It looks so good too, we wore it to the market and got lots of admiring looks. Well I assume the admiring looks were for the carrier, they could have just thought I was a hot spunk
QM, Jan is amazing, she makes slings commercially but is so supportive of the babywearing community and of other makers. She's put so much into helping people wear their babies.
