We went shopping Sunday, and instead of hibernating to the parents room (I really dislike the parents room BTW, dunno why I just dont...) I just popped her on the booby and continued shopping in Big W. My first sling booby feed in public!
On Monday, my birthday, we went to Sizzler with SIL, BIL and neices. As we got in the car I said "is the pram in the car?" ... "yep" says Shel... well, it wasnt!
Thank goodness I decided to bring my sling (Jazz has amazing habit of waking right when I'm about to eat!). She was so happy and content all night just chilling in the sling.
And today shes being mega cranky velcro baby. Well I put her down in her rocker and she started to cry her little eyes out, so I picked up the sling, and she saw it and stopped crying and even started smiling (cheeky hahahaha!) and as soon as she was in the sling she started smiling and pigeon talk, cooing and ahhhing, when a minute ago she was screaming the house down. I put her down again (experimenting this lol) and put the sling away, started crying, put the sling back on and hey presto all smiles. Hehehehe. She's peacefully sleeping on my boob (not feeding, using it as a pillow lol guarding it!) in the sling.
thats awesome hun! and FWIW I think the parents rooms are gross for feeding - well most of them are full of ratty kids, smelly nappies and just yuck... I preferred to find a nice quiet cafe corner to sit and relax while she fed and I had a hot choc or decaf....Much nicer!
